If you’re down, let’s go together! I have a solid recommendation out of Orlando.

Regarding LDPs and the TruControl, I’m sure overboosting can occur. However, I drive my Z like an adult and not a psychopath so I doubt I’d put myself in that situation. With that said, I also plan on getting a real tune in the next 12 months.
Interested in the recommendation you have in Orlando as well.

I pulled out the spool LDP's today in favor of the new B6A LDPs. The spool LDP's bracket did not line up, and this was a deal breaker for me, I like my parts to fit properly. I ordered the B6A pipes, and installed today, and they went in flawlessly. The fit and finish were fantastic, the welds were great, and resonators are much larger than the spools. Most important to me, the brackets mounted perfect. We did not have to finesse anything, the bracket simply bolted up the way they should, took a total of 30 mins start to finish on the install.

If you are on the fence, I highly recommend the B6A LDP's.

awesome - how hard were stud bolt nuts to remove on the oem cats? did you use hand wrenches or impact tool? the ams instructions make me believe they are a pain…

Glad to hear/see it!

Those are the resonated ones, correct?
Is the cat matrix only in the end of the DP where it connects to the Y pipe, or is there another one in there?
I apologize for the late response. These are what I have:

HKS Lower Downpipes Resonated / High Flow Cats, HFC VR30DDTT - Nissan Z 2023+ / Infiniti Q50 16+, Q60 17+ V37, CV37 - IN STOCK!!! 33006-KN001 HFC Stainless Steel Front Pipe w/ Catalyzer 400z VR30DDTTEXHAUSTRZ34 VQ35VR30EXHAUSTQ50 Q60VR30EXHAUSTS - Concept Z Performance

I wanted to maintain a consistent 60mm pipe diameter throughout the entire exhaust system so these were a perfect match to my Nismo titanium cat-back.

That answers my question. The description says something like ‘cat cells on both sides.’ so I assume there’s one near the inlet and one right at the outlet.

Funny how a lot of part descriptions are clearly direct translations from Japanese. Back in the day the stuff printed in English on the boxes of JUN products were the best.
And it appears they haven’t changed….had to look it up…love it!
”JUN chromoly light weight flywheel is put off unnecessary weight and can gain your smoothing driving with high response with decreasing revolution weight gravity never except its gravity as flywheel. JUN’s flywheel is one of comply accomplished chromoly flywheel for street drive.”

UPDATE: Revisiting the Spool Performance DP issue.

I went under the Z just now, and my bracket lined up. Check the pic below (driver side).

I have the full resonated dp's. FYI. I think most everyone else had just the lowers.

Anyone with the MAPerformance full downpipes, was your RH O2 sensor wire long enough?

The instructions say you just need to unclip the harness from it's mount, but mine is still too short

Edit: I just needed to gently pull on the wiring harness and I got them connected.

I see a couple of you guys did the titanium wrap on your down pipes. What was the major concern why you did this? Do you recommend? Does it inhibit the installation at all?

I'll be wrapping mine. I can already feel the heat through the firewall on longer runs with the stock DPs, let alone once I get a tune on it.

It should not inhibit installation since there is decent access with the aftermarket pipes.

Good points. I’ll only have the LDPs for a bit, not sure when I’ll do the uppers. I hear the uppers have less room to work with in the install.

Living in Florida, heat management is going to be fun. Haven’t had her through a summer yet. We will see.

Any manufacturer recommendations on actual wrap? Amazing has rolls from $20-$50 and I’m sure higher.
I also see this wrap can be useful around the X brace for the AWE exhaust to help prevent vibration due to tight clearance. Might be a good tip.

DEI Titanium exhaust wrap

It's the real deal, effective and won't catch on fire and burn your car down. I've had it on our Wrangler for years and used it on my C8 Corvette as well.
