You sir, does the Stillen trucontrol perform the same after LDP?
It's the same, just more power now with LDPs and full exhaust.

Stillen cannot update my Trucontrol for LDPs. Only basic mods.

I happened to look in the box that my installer gave me with the stock LDPs and it looks like he didn’t use the 3ā€ to 2.5ā€ adapter that came with the AMS pipes. I guess it’s not a necessity but I’ll double check and make sure the seal is good between my AMS pipes and my Stillen exhaust this weekend.

Should be fine as long as the 3.0" gasket has a crushable fire ring (I can't imagine AMS would provide low-quality gaskets) and has good overlap on the Stillen 2.5" flange. The adapter just adds one more seal to leak. I'd leave it as-is, assuming sentence #1 holds true.

I did the AMS LDPs (non-resonated) with the Stillen comp.
Cool! Super excited to hear what this thing will sound like. It should be illegal how quiet these things are stock! You tune yet or still stock? I just got mine so don't want to void the warranty with a tune....well..not yet at least:)

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m only a year into ownership with 4600 miles. I’m modding things that don’t require a tune to keep the warranty intact but I’m very quickly going to be at the end of that runway soon. And agreed on the sound. Even with the Stillen comp, I wanted it louder. I haven’t taken it out today but these pipes are a good mix of still being pretty quiet when you want them to be and angry as hell when you don’t.

I do have the TruControl as well. I like it but I suspect I’ll get a real tune within the next 12 months.

Sounds good. I’ll leave it alone. I always get paranoid after mods.

I get it! My wife is even more sensitive than I am to any new noises!

I’m convinced that if you’re considering full unresonated downpipes, you might as well be running open headers šŸ˜†
I had an open wastegate dump on a car once... What a horrible idea!

Does anyone have an idea of just how much louder a set of catless lower downpipes from AMS would be compared to the catted version? I know it will be louder but I really have no idea of just how much. I'm planning on installing the full downpipes soon and I want it to be louder because i've found my car is too quiet on track when i'm going fast and the windows are open with my apex'i exhaust. I'm hoping it won't be completely obnoxious though...

and i'm getting a tune for the full downpipes don't worry...I've got some big changes coming to the Nismo soon 🫣
