Considering I only have down pipe resonators and 2 cats, you'd think my car would be a lot louder, but it's not.

Sounds like shit on a cold start, but then raspy and fun to rip through the gears.

Looking like the AMS pipes will get installed tomorrow. 🫡 Will we go 0 for 3 with brackets not lining up?

Side note - Spool acknowledged in an email that the bracket issue seems to be a Z thing. The Q’s all fit fine.

RaceBox said the same, but we shall see! I'd expect coming from AMS that they're perfect though.

Sounds like these companies are retarded and don't know which jig goes to which car.

Mine don't have brackets at all.

From what I have read, what you say about the Stillen is correct. AWE Track adds a resonator in the X pipe making the sound a bit more refined, and less rasp. We will see.

Holy hell. The Z has awakened! The AMS pipes went in perfectly, no issues with the brackets at all. Got them powder coated with Cerakote Titanium (per @KrackaC8's recommendation) for $110, even cheaper than they quoted.

This thing is absolutely angry now. It's actually not bad around town when driving like a responsible adult but under acceleration, the sound is absolutely absurd (in a good way). Very happy I went with the AMS pipes since I wanted the sound.

The wife "test drive" has already occurred and she is equally happy. Dutiful husband accomplished. .🫡

So did you go AMS FDP with Stillen or AMS LDP with Stillen? RESI OR NON RESI?

I’m referring to the oem bracket that mounts to the frame. -it’s made of sheet metal (die stamping) and will easily bend when removing the stock lowers.

I can guarantee you this is what happened. Especially after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls. Those oem brackets are pretty malleable. Even in the event of "them not fitting" by 5mm you can literally bend it by hand. The point is its fitting and bolted tight with a much better downpipe design.
Also q50/Z cats have the same mounting points, dont let them tell you otherwise.

Does your piggyback still make any difference after downpipes installed?
