Have you run into a shop (online) that sells or provides the 2.5 to 3 inch insert? If I am not mistaken, circuitwerks did/does.

Installed this about 2 weeks ago on my manual Z. There was a bit of "rub" when I first took it for a test drive. It seems to have settled and now the shift seems more solid. Definitely lighter than stock.

Finished the install and took it for a quick ride. I have an exhaust leak. I'll fix that tomorrow. More importantly, the sound is amazing. It removed the raspiness from the 3-4k range.

Heat treating? I'm doing this for heat retention. It's already hot in the engine bay, it doesn't need to be any hotter.

Removing the oil cap helped me.

Nice. I dislike the ac lines blocking the air inlet on the driver side. If only it was clear like the Z34.
