It's interesting because you'll see very different graphs from AMS, Sonic (in my humble opinion the leading tuners for the new Z) than Z1.

Here's an example, with E60 and VRX70 turbos. It doesn't look like it lacks much if at all. Courtesy of Instagram about 20 minutes ago

EDIT: Saw some of your previous posts. You know what you are talking about, and have a great grip on the "totality of adding other upgrades".

Leaving my post below for posterity.

If you are in to bigger turbos, that means the whole "upgrade suite" is probably either done or in-play.

- Exhaust
- Intake
- UDP
-LDP
- Tune
-Ecutek tune

If I was throwing that much $ at a car, I would want to make damn sure everything was harmonious, and not marketing BS.

Boosted6 knows their stuff. JonnyG has done some pretty cool upgrades. Or, find a dedicated shop. Sorry; I have no experience with any.
Oh you will need much more then that.

stage 2 injectors and stage 3 HPFP and upgraded LPFP.

these turbos excel with Ethanol which means you will also need a flex fuel kit

They don't have a chart for the VRX80B.
It appears the VRX70B crosses over slightly after the 60B, call it 3650.
WHP: VRX70B exceeds stock around 3500 and exceeds the VRX60B around 3550
WTQ: VRX70B exceeds stock around 3700 and exceeds the VRX60B around 3875

BLUE = Stock
ORANGE = VRX60B
GREEN = VRX70B

EDIT: These were manually generated based on actual dyno charts from Z1, so they're not dead-on-balls accurate, but very close.

while there is a bunch of upgrades to the fuel system that is required to make upgraded turbos shine

comparing a stock tuned FBO Z with just upgraded VRX60s would be clear on Pump Gas

upgrading LPFP and HPFP on and keeping injectors stock

highly recommend to upgrade injectors. This info is all over the internet from top tuners

It seems the VRX60's would be the smoothest driving as both the HP and TQ are smooth linearly across both. No big jumps like on stock or 70s, at least in the powerband that was provided by our good sir @FSUZ33 The graph unfortunately though doesn't show the lower rpms or higher rpms past 4000.

But I also wonder how must of that concern could be tuned out with ethanol by a good tuner like AMS or Sonic?

That is what they said on instagram. CZP also says they're going to be pushing over 1000whp with their dual Garret 550 kit. I'm nowhere near ready to get bigger turbos so I hope everything will shake out over the next year and people can start seeing apples to apples against products
