this is false unless they meant to say sold or are being super technical and not counting Zs built before July 2022 when a handful of protos were sold to satisfy a press release that the car is now available for sale.

1800 cars have been made for North America to date

729 Z's sold in the US July 2022-April 2023. ( May to June data not available but im guessing in the 160-175 range)
You mean Jalopnik resorted to a form of sensationalism with one of its articles to put a narrative ahead of facts? *SHOCKEDFACE*

Imagine the internet as a pair of tightey-whiteys. Gawker Media is the skidmark on that pair of undies.

Most likely going to at the end of summer. If I lived in Cali or Florida I would keep it. It’s just not practical here in Chicago. The car barely gets traction when it’s 60/65 degrees out with one of the top rated high performance summer tires.

Sounds like you need to build an awd car then haha. Id imagine most cars will struggle when you're pushing the 550 tq you are.

Very true, if the Z were AWD it would be a keeper. Tough choice to make since it’s not your average sports car you see on the road. The rarity for these vehicles is insane. Still have yet to see a 400z on the road. After driving the car a thousand miles back from Lousiana and adding and additional 5k.

Seems like we need a special headlight flash when we finally encounter another Z: maybe two flashes, answered by three flashes.

Rare birds indeed. I've yet to see another on the road in my area. I actually had a guy think it was an older Z car. I guess Nissan did a great job on giving them that nostalgic look.

Living and growing up in New England and NY I know exactly what you're going through. It's the reason I owned my STI which I loved. I just wanted a different platform to tinker with. The ej25 scared me to modify and get the power I wanted. Thankfully I don't have to daily my cars in the winter which helps make the Z purchase easier.

Well wouldn't you know. I posted the above this morning and I just spotted a Gun Metallic Grey Z Sport on the road in Greensboro NC. I guess I spoke to soon, lol.

AWD Z....hmmm, I think the Z34 guys already figured out the body shell for the Z is slightly different than the Q where the transfer case and front driveline are concerned, because I always wondered why someone didn't just swap an AWD Q60 drivetrain into a Z.

Now with the new Z, there's 2 additional issues, the Q60 is still stuck with the 7AT and it never had an AWD 6MT version.

However, the Q60 can be made quite fast in AWD form, that helps to offset the ancient chassis' poor RWD traction.

^ it’s awful man, can’t stand it. Not only does the top rated sports tire have to be warmed up but it also has to be 80+ degrees to get traction in first and second gear
