  1. Exhaust tip smudging has stopped

I spray it with ONR mixed with water and it wipes right off. Edit: the exhaust tips. I haven't tried the intake valves. 😉
  2. Exhaust tip smudging has stopped

I clean these when I wash the car, and (unscientific observation) I think I've noticed less soot as well. Age of the car? Summertime gas formulation? 🤷‍♂️
  3. People suck…

    Making lemonade!
  4. What custom plates? / New Z Vanity Plate Ideas

A reference to the "last" Z? There was a lot of speculation when the Z launched several years ago that this *would* be the last Z. Now several years on, what do we all think? Is RZ34 the "Omega"?
  5. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

For me buying in AZ and bringing to CA. I paid the CA tax only.
  6. People suck…

These spaces were plenty wide. I'm parked next to a concrete post on the driver's side, and right up against the line on that side. Because the post is there, I had plenty of room to open my door, and thought I'd have a good buffer on the passenger side. Nope. I think it's just carelessness, or...
  7. People suck…

Not only do they suck, they don't know how to park. When I got there, I was the only car. Both the Tesla and the minivan seem parking challenged.
  8. Offical Wild Z Sighting Thread

#7. Spotted a Gun Metallic in San Diego, southbound on Vista Sorrento Parkway around 1:30pm today.
  9. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

    It worked before...sort of.
  10. My shiny new thing!

It's been a minute since this thread has seen any action. Kicking it. Replaced the Jag with an X5 PHEV (last year of the G05). What color? Well, blue is best.
  11. Hatch Half Unlocks?

    Nope. Living with it.
  12. How fast is a stock Z really?

My inner nerd always comes out when I'm shopping for a car. I make a spreadsheet of all the contenders, and one of my criteria is bang for the buck (along with power to weight, range, etc.) If I was buying a new car today, the Z would still be right up there in the bang for buck category, just...

  14. Fuel rail leakage

Nissan seems a bit better at the turbo game.
  15. Fuel rail leakage

We had a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 3.4L V6 (190HP) 5MT overlapping with our 03 G35. Very solid vehicle. Not a single issue. No idea about current-gen Toyotas. In Yomsemite:
  16. Fuel rail leakage

Me too. My stance has been based on the reliability of the vehicles I've owned in the past (Pathfinder, G35, G37). These weren't perfect, but none of them had to have the intake system ripped out just before the warranty expired. If it had happened a few days later, I'd have been SOL (and much...
  17. Fuel rail leakage

$492.57 performed on 3/13/2026 for a car that went in service on 4/28/2023. Fuel system finally repaired on final visit, in the shop on 4/27/2026, returned to me on 5/5/2026. I've researched extended warranties, but right now, I'm thinking no. I'll just pay for any issues until I replace her...
  18. Fuel rail leakage

It's been going strong for a couple of months, so it seems pretty solid. Before that it would act up by the time I got home.
  19. Fuel rail leakage

Update on this. I wanted to share this some time back, but I've been traveling, busy at work, walking the dog, driving the Z, blah, blah, and blah. It's been a couple of months since I got the car back and it seems to be fine now. No more gasoline smell, mpg is back where it should be, car is...
  20. Michelin PS 4S - Worth It?

Forgot to mention: They also just look great.
