Installed a Stillen TruControl V2 today. For my intake/exhaust mods and no tune, this will hopefully do nicely. Trying sport mode in a bit, nice that that it adds to the console Normal/Sport, easy shift while driving. Not touching that hose

I pretty much did a similar thing as you but needed the heat exchanger to tie all mods together

I feel like that has to be good for at least 40-50whp at peak and maybe more throughout the mid range

Oh I've had a day!

I hate to admit it but I've been so busy the last couple of months that my Z has sat in my driveway with a flat for 2.5 months, totally neglected. In the last little while I picked up the Z1 seat risers, Nismo exhaust hanger bushings, B6A resonated lower downpipes, and Mishimoto skid plate. I've been really looking forward to having a day just for me where I get all these parts installed. Well today was that day ... or so I thought.

First I took care of the flat tire then drove 40 km to my shop. On the way, I gathered 4 socket sets to have many extensions on hand for the lower downpipe removal. In short order I had the Z up on my quick jacks (only 3rd time using them but so nice to have). I started with the easy stuff - Z1 seat riser install. I thought I would have buyer's remorse with these but I have to say the seating position might now be perfect for me. Based on my first impressions, I would definitely recommend them to the taller drivers. However, I've not had a test drive on these yet, as I'll explain.

Next, I removed the plastic skid plate and inspected my Dorman oil pan (no leaks!). The lower downpipes unbolted remarkably well and that is when I made the fatal mistake of thinking how well everything was going and reflecting on what a great day I was having.

In order to drop the downpipes I wanted to slide my exhaust (AWE Track) backward by taking it off the hangers. I had the Nismo bushings to swap in so it was coming off the hangers anyway. At the back of the car is where I started getting stung by wasps with little room to escape! I looked up to see this nest in my wheel well. It looks small in the picture but there were a bunch of little B******* in there. Incredibly, they had made the 40 km drive with me! Lesson learned - Drive your car more else wasps will take up residence!

This is where things started to go downhill. With the exhaust hangers off I realized I bought two more than I should have because the rear hangers are completely different and I'm well over my 30 days for a return to Z1. Anyway, I think this is a decent upgrade for any aftermarket exhaust installs. The hole spacing is the same but in theory there should be less play with the solid design vs. the open H design. Hopefully, this will help me with my clearance over the w-brace. I can't say for sure yet because I hit a roadblock...

With the OEM lower downpipes out, I went to get the new ones from B6A and would you believe it, I was shipped two for the passenger side! What are the odds! I have to say I was on the phone immediately to B6A and they are going to make it right. Unfortunately, shipping from FL to Nova Scotia is a process so it might be a while before I have my Z back together. They weren't surprised by my call because another person in Canada had received two resonated lowers for the driver's side! I guess my call solved the mystery of the missing LDs.

I was feeling a little defeated but I thought I could at least get one installed. My head wasn't in the right place and I should have just quit but I carried on. I figured I would just cut the side out of a deep 22mm socket to make my own O2 sensor removal tool (after all, I have 4 socket sets at my disposal). Well in the process of rage grinding the socket didn't I light myself on fire! I probably shouldn't admit to that but hey that is the story of my day! So I'm down one T-shirt and a bit of belly fur. And then, a little stung and burned (figuratively and literally) I jumped to test fitting the socket while it still had sharp edges and I scraped the coating off one of the O2 sensor wires. And it tuns out that these sensors aren't cheap so I'll have to apply some liquid electrical tape and hope for the best. Needless to say it was at this point that I quit. Now back at home I just ordered the proper socket on Amazon for a whopping $13.

Today I added the rear carbon fiber diffuser from Z1 - a natural companion for the duckbill spoiler. Happy with the look, super easy install.

Thinking about that stillen comp cbe myself. Your pics look like the tips stick out further than the oe nismo cbe (a good thing). Might just be sold on it now.
I’m sure I’ve read your wheel/tire specs before but would you mind sharing size/offsets etc again? Looks great. .
