Added carbon fiber valve stem covers and emptied the catch can. Always nice to spend some time with the Z.

How many miles on that catch can amount (about 3 ozs??)? I plan to install mine next month.

No change in driving feel, but the Redline does run cooler than the OEM gear oil.

I changed the fluid at 1,700 miles and again now at 2,600 miles. Both times the drain magnet was covered in metallic sludge, but definitely more during the 1st initial break-in change. Here's a pic of the towel after wiping the drain plug magnet clean during today's #2 change:

The fluid itself was still a golden transparent color so I suspect most of this was just flushing out the remnants from change #1.

I probably won't touch it again for another 2 years or 24k miles, which is the factory service interval.
Nice. Where did you get the drain plug from?

The fellas on the assembly line in Japan; its the factory drain plug :)

The one without the magnet is the fill plug.

Those look much better, but I'd prefer them in black, do they make them in black?
I would have preferred black too but I couldn't find any. I wasn't going to remove / wrap them either. Saw these a few pages back in this thread. I am not really a carbon fiber guy but these actually look better than I thought. The fitment is really good - perfect.

BeShizz,
did you just apply the wrap and cut edges with a razor? I looked at how they were attached and it looked like a "bit" of work!!!
thanks

How's the lighting performance at night compared to the OEM headlights?
Lighting is good at night, I didn't notice any significant difference from oem. Obviously the light is whiter because of the LEDs, but I am happy with the overall quality.
