Whoa boy!! Killer massive oversteer at SoWS, almost all corners. For sure with loads more power on your modded RZ34 keep that rear soft! Hope to see ya soon, I'm fixing brake balance issues on my RB Z, then be out with SV again.
Once you're satisfied with delivery, they should hold up fine, less maint items to take care of going forward. Downside to any EV is range does get affected by many factors, speed, grade, temperature, need to be aware of. But the current software will let you know when closer to needing charge...
Great inputs, tough days with the AT! This is the environment I will use it on, so the Manual still gives the nod. Clutches, pressure plates etc. are up to how drivers use it. Certainly a heavy duty setup including lightened flywheel probably adds to the robustness on track.
Posts so far have lots of personal histories and preferences, that's cool. But....what about reliability so far between the two trannies and clutch/torque converter, since we have couple years of ownerships already?
I do miss my Xterra Off Road, very capable rig! Let's see if Nissan can produce a good, affordable competitor to the others out there.

Bill, the autocross community is large in the San Diego area and Lake Elsinore, have you considered checking it out? Look up Cal Club Solo II, SCCA sanctioned. Report back when you do 👍
Another example, observation. My prev E46 M3, lightly tuned was so visceral and twitchy at limits, and then compared to a friend's E92 M3 I was instructing, that the latter eventhough stuck really well on track, it was SO quiet and no tactile feelings driving it; the difference I'm talking...
Us enthusiasts should ALWAYS keep one analog, sports car, my RB26DETT 240Z is so raw that no modern machinery can compare - the noise, notchy short shifter, no ABS, no power steering, etc. Modern sports cars/coupes are much faster and so effortless in getting up to speed and on-rails handling in...
Another reason the Z still draws me in, not many at all roaming the streets. That alone is worth a few grins everywhere, plus being a Z fan forever, it's very cool. I may just keep the Cayman S for full track duty and get the Z for trips, clubs, cruises, it's good enough for that. 😊
Or GroupZ...
How did the stock brakes hold up at the track, how many sessions? Fluids changed? Normally first things I address for stockers, better pads and high temp brake fluid, then tires. Susp upgrade, alignment and tuning after all that.
Why would they do that?! The Z is not moving as it is, most other automakers are reducing MSRP nowadays. Plus more incentive for dealers to mark up more. Dumb move by Nissan.
Good analysis on your part. Compared and chose what you liked best. I'm still on the fence about the Z, it really needs a few upgrades to be competitive for my use, not enough from the factory. But the heritage styling is a home run! Only nostalgia keeps me hanging on here. Also I have to say...
Great comparison video! 👍
Definitely very noticeable, that BMW chassis and steering, so much more composed with the Supra. Maybe on a longer faster, less tight turns track the Z will catch and possibly beat times but who knows.
