Has anybody been unhappy with BaT buys? Any personal experiences? How about good results? Payments, shipping, etc? Seem to see more Nissans and Datsuns lately.

Two bad experiences for me. Mitsubishi 3000GT and a Dodge Stealth.

One non-responsive seller and another who refused to honor the sale because he wasn't happy with the results (it was a no reserve auction).

Doesn’t BaT enforce some penalties for sellers like those? I know one person that won and got the vehicle not as advertised. Shoddy work.

They do...but it didn't get me anywhere. Like an eBay seller who never ships the item, you get a 100% refund and they wash their hands of it.

At least you have not lost $$. What if you’ve paid the seller, does BaT help to recover that? Probably lengthy arbitration and/or lawsuits.
