This is just a basic overview of 200tw tires, research each specific one from here, the higher up they are the longer they last. Maxxis VR1 provide really good grip and longevity, Conti ECF's as well, Falken's rt660 and cup 2's are very grippy but can become greasy and they don't last very long, but they offer by far the most grip

Nice rear roof spoiler. You don't see many on the new Z. I had one on my 2007 350z. I am eyeing the Speed forme version as well.

Just ordered front and rear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Price seems too good to be true and I generally adhere to the "you get what you pay for" mentality. I'm hoping they won't be a huge disappointment.

It's those terribly greasy S007s, Nissan spec'd the wrong tires for the Z's power. They will break loose on almost any turn if not careful on the throttle, dry and worse wet.

Did you still have the Bridgestones when you got the sway bars? I'm hoping that will improve the grip and let me wear these stock tires down so I don't feel bad about wasting them. Of course, if I crash I'll feel worse...

Personally, I like them. Hope they work for you as well. I'll repost if once I finally break in the Z and I change my opinion.

Well, the cornering and canyon handling is much flatter now (stiffest setting) but more of the issue with these S007s are pulling out of corners, breaks loose too easily! As long as you're careful taking off from corners you'll be OK. Transitions are better on the S007s, though, with the stiffer sways.

Finally got my miata seats reupholstered, and a seat lowering bracket came in the mail at the same time.

In a miata, the bracket drops the butt, but raises the forward thigh area, which I couldn't stand. Chopped off the lowest support bar of the seat itself, and modified the bracket to attach at another location. I now have a relatively flat seat! Maintained the thigh adjustment which does help on long road trips.

It's crazy how much difference an inch or so makes.

2nd oil change @2,670 miles.

the oil color looks much better than the first change. 2nd change still has an amber tint. The first change at 1k was jet black.
