Ohlins Coilover Setup

I'm having the Sakebomb FPSpec, True rear. And the spring rate is 16/13k.

I have the JDM divorced Ohlins. 110 & 100 N/mm front and rear respectively.

Hmm shouldn’t be bouncy. How much of a drop and what are your settings for reference?
I had all my parts out ready just to find out mine had to go back.

I wouldn’t say it’s bouncy, but pretty firm. Just wanted to describe the outcome when the suspension get more stiffness. The height is 5 3/4” front and 6 1/4” rear. And only the coilover and Nismo(same as SPL) upper front control arm.

Just adjust them to the softest setting and work your way up to the desired firmness. It's the whole point of these coilovers.

Yes I’m still adjusting the firmness to try to find out a good setting for daily and track. The reason I was concerning is that I’m getting some clubk noise on rear struts when going over some bumps or holes on road. So yea gonna need to take some time to find out.

Been eyeing the Ohlins set at Z1, if I stayed with the Ohlins recs and only drop about an inch would I need to replace any of the other suspension parts, or is that really only needed if dropping lower?

You should always replace the arms because there is no factory adjustment and you want to be able to set your alignment spects

I want to replace the arms even on stock suspension. I am still confused as to why any sports car does not allow range in suspension alignment. I am convinced most of the benefit most people think they are getting from lowering springs is actually just more front end negative camber.

Because Nissan cheaped out
same lack of feature since the Z33, so its been almost 20 years that they failed to account for this

add to that an incredibly conservative alignment and it's no wonder all the Z platforms are understeering pigs out of the factory

I am not a GTR expert but a cursory search indicates Nissan gave it limited camber adjustment in front via eccentric bolts. Like the rear, it's maybe a degree of adjustment, so you need aftermarket arms to do any real changes

Still, better than nothing.
