Does anyone have an idea of just how much louder a set of catless lower downpipes from AMS would be compared to the catted version? I know it will be louder but I really have no idea of just how much. I'm planning on installing the full downpipes soon and I want it to be louder because i've found my car is too quiet on track when i'm going fast and the windows are open with my apex'i exhaust. I'm hoping it won't be completely obnoxious though...

and i'm getting a tune for the full downpipes don't worry...I've got some big changes coming to the Nismo soon 🫣
My son just took my Z for a ride for prom and I heard it 5 blocks away so let that be a warning šŸ˜†

You actually don't need to do that. You can Dyno with it turned off and then map 7 to get numbers. I will be doing this very soon !
Awesome! Please post your numbers here! This will be valuable data! I’m right behind you in mods and very much considering Tru Contol until warranty is up.

Sounds like its perfect though if you’re still able to drive it around town though! I need to read a lot of this thread so apologies if you answered already but do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

Checking B6A LDP fitment for myself:

B6A fitment seems even and tight up against the under carriage to not interfere with ground clearance and to keep the AWE resonator pipes up & away from the W-brace. After a few small adjustments, the AWE tips are back to being perfect!

Not sure where you heard that. Sounds like complete bullshit and just a preference or opinion. I talked to Stillen directly and told them my set up. Kyle said it was fine.

I didn't understand what you said. It can get pretty what?

You know, you come across as a real aggressive person, tone it down. Tuners do not recommend the LDP with a piggyback, because LDP can already cause an overboost situation and the piggyback makes it worse. Don’t take my word for it, reach out to a few reputable tuners.

Yes there is
Probably for the best šŸ˜‚

I originally wanted to install my LDPs at the same time as all my other mods, but RaceBox suggested I hold off until I was ready to get tuned due to the risk of turbo overboost/overspeed. If someone stays on stock tune or piggyback, they need to be cognizant of the risk and monitor their gauges accordingly.

Yea that’s correct, I am planing to get tuned within the next few months. Still undecided on my tuner.

If you’re down, let’s go together! I have a solid recommendation out of Orlando.

Regarding LDPs and the TruControl, I’m sure overboosting can occur. However, I drive my Z like an adult and not a psychopath so I doubt I’d put myself in that situation. With that said, I also plan on getting a real tune in the next 12 months.

Works for me, I used Brandon at B-tuned to tune my GTR several years back, and he is very good, and knows the VR platform. I was also thinking about Mark from Sonic Tuned, who are you thinking about in Orlando?
