B6 said they fit with pics and now they fit no problems. There never was an issue…
There was an issue. It's called April 13th. Brackets had to be bent for fitment. That's shitty ass development on their end. Plus, that fool representing them waited til the last hour to chime in.

Brackets were bent during the removal process…

There was an issue and their brackets needed to be bent to fit. I cannot speak to the Spool brackets as I didn't instruct RaceBox to force them to fit. If someone wants to try them, they can have 'em cheap.

Thank you to RaceBox for making a second effort at it today.

End of the day, I just wasted a ton of money but glad I can report back with the info for the community so people can make informed decisions moving forward.

Doing it all over again, I'd just stay with the Spools and not worry about bracketgate.

...can’t be that hard to bend/tweak/beat the brackets into submission.
Chinese manufacturing FTW? 🤣

Guess that's why they're $2-400 and not $500+ like the AMS and CZP.

i would not call that a fitment issue - did they explain why they gave up so easily? What‘s puzzling to me is - racebox sells b6a & spool products on their website. Seem like they could have pickup the phone and called for support?

it‘s highly possible the brackets could easily be bent from removing the stock lowers. These lock nuts with distorted threads take alot of torque to break loose and remove…

The stock bracket arms are cast; they will not bend.

RaceBox said they do not to modify a customer-supplied product unless specifically told to do so. I did not purchase either set of LDPs through them.

End of the day, it's all Chinese junk 🙂

I’m referring to the oem bracket that mounts to the frame. -it’s made of sheet metal (die stamping) and will easily bend when removing the stock lowers.

Hats off to B6 pics and calling bs. now it magically fits… ufb…. Assuming the spool fit as well…

That was my original thought after looking at the brackets - can’t be that hard to bend/tweak/beat the brackets into submission.
The spool does not fit, I have a set and it's not even close to being able to mount the bracket, trust me, I would have bent or adjusted if it was possible.

As far as the sound goes vs. the Spool 3" resonated LDPs...minimal difference if any. Maybe a little quieter at idle? Maybe.
As additional follow up, I drove the car again today to compare the morning commutes back-to-back and the larger B6A resonators did tone down the initial cold start and idle volume a bit. No change or difference while driving or WOT, but I won't complain about a little improvement during those 6am cold starts. Phone calls over Bluetooth are possible with both Spool & B6A while driving at highway speeds.

You are running the AWE Track correct?

Oh, ok. My plan is to get the track, see if it is too loud or just right. If too loud, get the touring conversion. Not much of a difference in total cost.
Want some Spool LDPs to go with it?

:D
