I'm no fluid dynamics engineer... But, I have a new OEM front chin spoiler in the garage awaiting install, and that thing is so flimsy, it's more likely to fold in half than provide any real aero at 130+ MPH. My guess is the speed limiter difference is a faux-"benefit" they gave the Performance. Zero cost to implement, and a big juicy bulletpoint to add to the Performance spec sheet for the upsell. Someone at Nissan got a major attaboy for thinking that one up.
Yeah exactly, my OEM Nissan front lower lip spoiler is super flimsy, it probably folds over at speed. That's why I am very surprised.

l wonder if cars in the US have extremely inaccurate speedo readings as we in Australia have. ( l believe it’s a government thing) Mine reads 5-6% high, l use an aftermarket GPS heads up display.

Let's not forget undercarriage. Low smooth underbelly is helpful, especially if there are strategic fins directing air flow. I added a Mishimoto front pan to my Nismo, hoping that an added benefit is reduced turbulence and lift.

That's why I have avoided adding one to my Sport model, I agree with you. I think it looks more like the old 240Z without the spoiler, just my opinion though. I added the front lower lip.

it definitely looks more like the old 240Z without the spoiler. If I had your model, I would only put wider tires.

Thank you, I agree. Yeah wider tires is a good thing with this car for sure. I like the factory 18 inch rims in terms of design and appearance, tires could use more bulk. My model comes with Yokohama Avid tires, maybe not the gripiest of tires

Can't be any worse than the Performance trim Bridgestones. Then again, neither could a used Tiger Paw from a rusty 80's Cutlass... Probably the worst tire I've ever had on a sports car.

I do love those rims as well. Maybe some spacers would take care of that in order to keep the same rims.

I hit 153 in my C5 Vette driving thru Western Montana on I90 in 05. That was as fast as I’ve ever been or probably ever will go again. It was a rush tho.

I believe they're TE37 Ultra Track Edition 2's. Not sure if they're still made/available (they're not on RAYS's VOLK product page. Not a lot of difference from the Saga S-Plus, especially the Black Shadow Ltd version. Main thing at a distance is the machined groove around the lip. Not a huge logo guy, but I like how the Saga S-Plus Black Shadow Limited editions have both the RAYS and VOLK RACING logos machined on the spokes.

A lot of people feel TE37s are basically the definition of cliche at this point, and I can understand why, but I still love them. A Forever Classic imo.
