Thanks, I use 5w/30 too and have a Z1 catch can also. I’m surprised at how black the oil gets so soon after an oil change, the ridiculous plastic oil pan still holds nearly a litre after draining due to the position of the drain plug which doesn’t help.

Glad you got that sorted, l have 23 Proto myself in Melbourne, l noticed they fitted oil filter 15208ED50A which is for the Maxima, Micro, Pulsar and Qashquai. Filter for the Z is 1520865F1B. Cheers Steve.

It’s not a deep clack, more a soft knock more pronounced when cold on fast idle outside the car, gets less as revs drop and engine warms up. Can hear it as l drive off at low revs through the gears. When fully warm it’s only noticeable in the cabin feathering the throttle 1000 - 1100 revs. Not...

Thanks, l checked out your in cabin video, l can just here the knocking sound l was referring too but nothing else apart from the cold start hi idle drone.

Wow that’s interesting, l also get a strange metallic random tinkling noice from the right side of the engine on warm up like a coin is rattling around under the cam cover ( only noticeable with the hood up) goes away when hot.
