Winter Storage

Hello all,
I’m new to the Nissan Z Club but belong to the Edmonton Z car club. I put my 2024 Performance Z into hibernation, for the Winter, and wanted to show you my indoor car cover from OEM Plus Designs. It fits like a glove!

I’ve threatened to buy this a couple times as I put mine in storage for 4 months, but I also go in every few weeks to start it up and take a lap through the garage so the tires don’t sit in the same position. Is this easy on/off for one person or would I have to trick my wife into stopping by?

Hello Troy,
I purchased the premium, embroidered and am very happy with it. It’s easy to put on by yourself, with the right technique, but before that I put an extra two pounds of air in the tires and fill it up with 94 octane (which I usually run) and add some fuel stabilizer. Make sure to give it a good cleaning inside and out before you put the cover on.
I already am looking forward to driving it in the Spring!

I still use a custom car cover I had for my 2004 Lexus GS300. Used it on every car since. Does the trick for 4 months of storage and the cover still looks new. Amazes me how long the Z front end is vs the Lexus. Look at where mirror pockets are.

Very nice cover and it looks like a good spot in the parking garage as well! Don't forget to tell your insurer that it is in storage. When I tell TD that mine is in storage I get a significant credit back.

If you start it and don’t get the engine to operating temp, oil will get contaminated with moisture and fuel.
