Wow, that red is stunning. Nice pictures and food looks great! That’s what I call a great outing !! Hmmm, I was going back and forth with red and Boulder Gray…..wanted Passion Red initially but discontinued.
Thanks! On the now-open Hwy 1 San Simeon to Monterey, I can say very solid and tight handling w/ the Stillen sways (hard f/soft r) and Swift springs, even handled uneven roads and dips w no bottoming out, still on stock shocks under 3k miles. Here's a short clip pushing it a little, letting off by the famous Bixby Bridge.

And rare sighting, another Z coming southbound!

🔥🔥 Nice vids! Thanks for sharing. Driving the Z on a nice winding road……quality of life 😉. It’s a great GT car 👍

Picked up my Z from storage yesterday since it was over 60 degrees. The smile that returned to my face is something I can’t describe. I filled her up with 94 octane at 5.19 per gallon though 😦

What would have been really awesome, if you had footage passing that 911 😉😀
Should be easy enough, he wasn't comfortable in the corners, braking, etc. but another day, had to stop at that Bixby Bridge for photos :like:

On Monday I put the K&N cold air intake on the Z. Still has the stock automatic exhaust. Previously I had installed the JB4 tuner and pushed the stock tires past their limit in a couple of situations. Then I added Stillen sway bars... better... then the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02s and got great adhesion - like it's on rails, but the part I never mentioned was the car felt slower!
After these intakes it feels fast again. I'm still noticing the changes but it seems like I'm running the car at a lower RPM for the same speeds. I could be getting better fuel economy!

Glad you like the K&N intakes! I love mine; best option on the market IMO.

FINALLY getting around to this post. Maybe I was trying to get over the soreness of the install day...

Last Saturday, I got my Stillen swaybars, Powerstop Z26 rotors and pads, Dorman oil pan and Velossa Tech snorkels installed. The only thing I did not get to where the Ark lowering springs, which I'm still back and forth on installing regardless. Here are pics and thoughts.

Dorman Oil Pan - this was frankly eye opening. I did an oil change anyway and I was blown away by the amount of dirty oil left behind in the stock pan when I dropped it. Very easy install though. BE CAREFUL WITH THE BOLTS. They weren't overly tight to begin with so zero need to go nuts on the install. This was also my first time emptying the Z1 catch can. I love that the screwdriver they include to use on the Allen head screws was useless. The handle spun instead of the driver. Ridiculous.

Powerstop Z26 Rotors and Pads - Very straight forward but time consuming. I painted the top hats of the rotors the day prior because I didn't want all silver rotors. I will say - the OEM stuff seems to be better quality. The OEM pads are thicker than the Powerstop ones. But I love the look of the slotted and drilled rotors. Feel seems good so far but still in the break period.

Stillen Sway Bars - To be honest, I didn't find these to be as noticeable after the install as I expected. Install was super easy though, even with having to drop the exhaust. I like them for sure and I can see tell a difference but it's not some OMG moment.

Velossa Tech Snorkels - I bought these on a whim and literally exchanged them 2 after the multiple of blues they have didn't match. You know what blue matched? Blue. Shocking I know. The install is a bit of a pain because you have to drop the bumper but I did that anyway to swap my Alpharex headlights to have orange DRLs. My one critique is that they use Allen head screws for EVERYTHING when a normal hex head screw would be exponentially easier. But I really like them, more than I thought I would.

Also, the Quickjack - worth every penny.

Wow, what a nice space to work on your Z! It must be a pleasure to have such a clean bay.
I think I'll go for the Quickjack the next time they run a sale.

I walked out of the office after a long day today, came around the corner and thought how lucky I am to drive this home. So I snapped a pic. These cars photograph so nicely.

It was a good day for the Z and me, and one that I had been awaiting for some time.

I started by making my first use of a new set of quick jacks (which I highly recommend). I bought the amazon pinch weld blocks and they worked great.

Once in the air, I installed rear and front splash guards. I like the rear splash guards better than I expected. They definitely help with my 25mm wheel spacers that I think are a little too wide. The front splash guards aren't really anything but I don't regret getting them.

Next I swapped the oil pan for the larger capacity aluminum Dorman one. I torqued the 10 bolts to 70 inch pounds without issue. Then came a new oil filter and some purple oil. (It has been a long time since I did my own vehicle oil change and I can't believe how thin this 0W-20 oil is.) Then I checked my catch can and found a good tablespoon of oil which makes me glad it was one of my first mods but it's also alarming to see that oil.

Lastly, I removed my OEM exhaust to make way for an AWE Track exhaust that will be going on after Mother's Day.

Curious, how many miles yielded that much oil?
