how did anyone managed to hammer the z1 bushing in?? lol i tried it and it was impossible. So i resort to press it in.
i really didn’t want to pay that much for a tool that i was going to use once so i used an air hammer and chisel attachement to remove the metal sleeve.

Subie is at the panel beaters, so the pavement princess got a run out to the country on the weekend.

LOL. "Pavement Princess." Sounds like my Z. I imagine mine is having a manicure and yacking on the phone with other Z's, as it chills in my garage. ;)

So I got a great deal on a Stillen TruControl unit and decided to try it out. I like everything about it except ONE MAJOR POS thing that is not Stillens fault.

Map4 felt nice and smooth like a bigger motor
Map5 the same but slightly more potent without some crazy spike in torque that falls off

I haven’t tried the other maps because I prefer to start in the medium range plus I have a B6A intake system paired with a Stillen Comp exhaust.

I was able to route the unit inside of the brake compartment by lifting one tab that releases the brake compartment upper body.

Now onto the POS!!! I hate the app with everything in me. I got it to work day one but after that it kept having connectivity issues and refused to pair. If the Stillen unit didn’t have physical buttons I would give the unit a 2/10 but because it has that option I give it a 8.5/10 because I don’t mind doing the extra work. Now if the app was flawless I’d give it a 10/10

Nice clean install, great job. I have not seen it located there before.

The app not working would suck, the app has worked flawlessly on mine.

It's crazy how much power this device adds to the vehicle. Nissan really has it toned down in stock form.

Yeah of all install videos I wasn't a fan of where it was mounted. Hopefully my pics show folks a cleaner method

I bought the tool. I have the bushings sitting around.

I have a lift and tranny jack at work.

I'm just scared that I'll get 2 of the 3 out, then not be able to get the next to budge, and strand myself on the lift. My car has NOT seen NJ winters, salt, etc. I'm not scared they are fused in there.

Plus, I really don't want to drop the exhaust, pumpkin, brace again.
