Put the Continental DWS06+ on my ‘24 Nismo

Finally replaced the stock Dunlop’s with the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ and then took it to Firestone for their lifetime alignment. After I posted a picture of the alignment done in a Discord, a more experienced in cars friend of mine pointed out how the rear wasn’t changed and how the rear toe was “off”. I mentioned this to the person in Firestone and he said they scan the car and follow the Nissan specs. He also said it’s within “green” but my friend said it’s not a good alignment. I couldn’t get a copy of the mentioned specs after the job was done but next time I will ask them for a copy. Does anyone here have a copy? I didn’t have much luck with a quick google search.

Having a bit of toe in out back helps with straight line stability and acceleration. No biggie at all. You are showing .22 and .14 of a degree. It’s not a lot by any means. In the front, they got you more precise toe in but closer to 0 which is good. For a track car it’s normal to even run a tiny bit of toe out in the front. (Helps with initial turn in) but close to 0 is good. As long as one side isn’t way out of wack you should not have any bad wear issues. If you’re an aggressive driver, if you get some adjustable front upper arms, you can dial some more negative camber in and help with corner bite and stability. Otherwise it looks like you’re golden to me . Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for sharing your new tire choice. I have a 24 performance rosewood. About 6000 miles on it. Picked up April 2023.

My wife has a 2008 Saturn sky redline with 16000 miles and 10,000 when I bought it with original tires. I put those same continental brand on the Saturn and they are fantastic for traction and it corners like a go-cart. Only downside is it’s harder to spin the tires…but it will! It’s a automatic

I’m thinking of the same swap maybe next year. How many miles did you have on the Dunlop tires and were they warn to a need if changing or just a desire for a different tire. Curious how many miles folks are getting to where tread prompts a change versus trying a different brand. My Z is a 6 speed

also looking at the borla street cat-back. Any comments on that vs other without hi-jacking the thread? Don’t want too loud as I’m too old for that LOL!

I have over 6K miles on the Dunlop and the installer told me they’re still good for use and have about half of thread life left. I wanted new all weather tires because I’ve had a few sketchy moments in the rain because I’m one of the few that don’t mind driving the car in the rain .

I'm curious if you felt like you lost any traction going from the summer tires to the all-seasons.

I've been looking at both the DWS 06 Plus and the Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 as options based on this report and my positive experience with the Potenza Sport AS on my previous Mustang.

I want to put all season tires on, but I'm a bit nervous as I suppose the car was designed around summer tires.
