Correct. Even as short as it is, because it's a drive cable and not a solid shaft, it will bend. So the hole doesn't have to be perfect. If it's a little left, right, front or back, it will still work as advertised as long as it has the length to get through the panel.
BTW, going with a longer flexible extension (not sure if it's possible on the Z), the longer the cable and the more bend it has, it's possible to mute or lose the tactile feel of the clicks.

Well get it done! I like being able to see what others have done to get ideas for mine.

Looks like @VR30Infection put the cable cover on the underside of the mount to recess the knob. Less chance of knocking it loose and Looks clean. I was thinking not making the extensions permanent, just a cover to pop off when I need to adjust.

Have you gotten any further word on your Aircups? I have tried to contact them through all formats to try and get an estimated date on my May order for a true pkg and aircups, they won’t answer the question. I got two “I can check on that” without further, rest unanswered. My last was less than polite, still no answer. I knew it would take time and be slow but it’s not hard to communicate these days. Plus it pays dividends with customer feedback.

I sent them a message through their website Tuesday and haven't gotten a response.
I complicated things by adding air cups in May, but at that point my January order of the coilovers hadn't shipped. It's 7 months after I ordered coilovers and they're still not underneath my car. Granted, I could install them, but I want to install the air cups first. It's probably here somewhere, but they told me they'd ship either in June or July...which have both passed. I added cups May 5th.

BTW, ordered the FPSpec spanner wrenches and got them like a week later. Mine are not gold like the image, the logos are just stickers, which aren't straight, and the aluminum isn't finished. You can see the ink printing where the factory marked the large sheet with the type of aluminum it is.

I assume once I get everything under the car I will be super happy with it, but it's been a long time since this started. They've been really helpful, but overall I'm not impressed with the service. And the wrenches are a joke. Actually thinking about removing the stickers cleaning them up and brush finishing them. The Ohlins spanners are basic, and the Sakebomb spanners I got are no better.

I'm just speaking from my experience. I don't want to cost them a single penny in business, nor do I want any part of pushing them away from developing for the RZ34, but people deserve to know what others have experienced.

First, the coilovers are beautiful. For those that don't know, the shock bodies are Ohlins and everythig else is Sakebomb spec parts. The mounts are beefy as hell compared to the off-the shelf Ohlins. NOTHING AT ALL wrong with OTS Ohlins, but the SBG stuff IS LEGIT.

That said ... I have no clue if the kit I bought was #1 or #500. It came in a generic cardboard box, not the logo'd white ones in their pics, so I assume I was early to the game. Right or wrong, I didn't ask for anything, but they offered 10% off...which happened to be exactly what they're selling the kit for now. Didn't DESERVE anything, but it sucks to get the "used car discount" where the starting price is bogus to begin with. It took forever to get the kit, and by the time I did it was just before a major surgery and I wasn't in shape to get under my car at that point. My medical condition is not their fault, but if it hadn't taken 5 months to get the parts to me it would have been a different story. Took them apart in preparation to add thrust washers and the locking rings are different colors, from silver aluminum to almost a gunmetal color. This has no affect on anything, but for $4K you think they'd match. Then the FPSpec spanner wrenches. I don't know what's going on with those. Mine look like a rough set they made during development, not a finished $60 set (or whatever they were).

Thanks for the update, I have been watching. I know they build everything to order so I was ready for a lengthy wait But not lack of communication. I haven’t ordered the wrenches or extensions because I was waiting on a timeline. I think I am going with a recessed cup for my setting on the interior, thankfully it sounds as if they get those out pretty quick on order. What thrust washers did you end up getting? I have those on hold for now also.

QA1 thrust bearings. Above and below on the front, and on top of the helper and below the main on the rears. On the rears between the main and helper, Sakebomb installed the Swift stacker with thrust sheets, so I'm leaving that as-is and doing just top and bottom.

Playing around with the idea of flipping the rear to have the helper on the bottom. I don't think it matters too much, and it won't matter at all for a daily, but there is info out there about the differences with helper on top vs bottom.

Stanceparts should be MUCH faster, despite being based in the Netherlands, zero communcations issues. Heck, they even did CAD work free of charge to help made design the custom adapter I had to use in the rear to mate with the SPL adjustable cone mount

Got the Sakebomb’s air cups yesterday. Temporarily taking over my daughter’s craft space to keep everything organized until I get them completely apart, air cups and thrust washers added, then back together.

Ah the pieces are falling into place for you finally. Hit the local cars and coffee this morning and thought it would be nice if I had them on, but I still haven’t heard anything which stinks since I have a few days off.
