Ranking this installation from Refilling the gas tank to LDP installation while wearing a cast with no universals (0 -10), how hard is this installation?

I'm ready to hop on board the Catch Can Train.
Anyone heard any negatives about any of the systems/manufacturers? Are any easier to install and/or empty?
Don't have a preference. Z1 has a drain kit, which seems convenient, but not sure if it's worth it. Was checking out one site, not sure which, and there were multiple (15?) options for the Mishimoto. Some were clearly individual parts, but there were multiple kits, and the $100 kit appeared to have the same parts as the $250 kit. I don't know exactly what's needed.
I got the Mishimoto and have been pleased with it, it looks good and is constructed in a quality way. It's also easy to take off to check/empty.

I have posted pictures and made a few posts about it and the install in the other catch can thread with what I think are decent photos. I ordered the complete kit from Mishimoto.

The only "hard" part, more like "pain in the ass" is moving the drivers side intercooler out of the way and reinstalling it, getting the two flanges and the hoses to line up at the same time can suck. But it took me 2 hours total to do it with a couple small breaks. I would say a 4-5 difficulty.

All catch can installs requires you to remove the intercooler. Its all the same with different mounting options by manufacturers. Mishimoto bracket mounts on the radiator support while Z1 bracket mounts on the engine

Z1 drain tube makes it convenient to drain and no need to remove the can to drain. Drain when you do your oil change

There is Boosted 6 and a few others out there I am not familiar with. It comes down to price and brand you prefer to have

Intercooler is arm wrestling match to see who wins lol. It will help removing the oil fill cap to give you that extra clearance on removing and installing the intercooler

Installing the intercooler. Start with the top coupler since its easier. For the bottom, I used a pry bar to get the coupler around the intercooler flange and push down to seat.

Here are the tools I used to make the job easy. It took me 3 hrs taking my time. 4 of 10 difficulty

Ah, so it’s in the front but piped back under the IC. I watched one video, not sure of the brand, but they were showing it on a VR30 on an engine stand. It looked like it was mounted next to the front corner of the right/passenger IC. Maybe that’s where they are on a Q50/Q60, or my bearings were fouled up with the engine on the stand.

Two questions:
1. Can the Z1 drain kit be fitted to the Mishimoto?
2. with the drain kit, do you leave the pipe attached, or attach it just to drain the can?

This is an excellent step by step guide:

Mishimoto catch can install

Can't speak for the Z1 drain fit, but I can tell you it's no problem unscrewing and emptying the Mishimoto.

Thanks for the suggestion!
Today around 6 AM I learned what "VTA" (and VTE) mean in the PCV and catch can world.
Boy did those three little letters open another whole catch can of worms!!!

Yea the Mishimoto is very easy to drain. You can just reach under and twist it off.

Or if you need more room just undo the 3 hex head screws you see on top to pull it out from under the bracket then unscrew it.
