  1. 📊 2023 Nissan Z Sales Figures So Far

I've yet to see a single new Z in Naples or the surrounding area, and that is insane given how early new sports cars, in particular, begin to hit the streets here. I've started shopping Zupras more seriously, and there are plenty on the market, but the inflated prices on those is keeping me at...
  2. Corvette SUV

Man, they're *all over* Naples. Awful vehicles, too, just deeply unsightly and cynical pieces of machinery.

  4. Nismo Z prototype spied testing in the U.S.

That split detail looks pretty deliberately crafted - look how it's contoured and tapered - I'd say that stands a good chance of being final design language. Different taping is the likely culprit here. If I had to guess, the sides of the overall air dam slope down at an angle beginning...
  5. Nismo Z prototype spied testing in the U.S.

It's *possible* that this camo is just covering that detail, but these all do appear very different. Totally agree. Maybe the mules were just running whatever jank setups the Nismo team was mocking up while they worked on the production design? This looks much more production-ready, given the...
  6. 2023 Nissan Z $1K MSRP Increase as of 3/3/2023

This is totally my hope. I'm at least in the position, currently, wherein I don't actually need to buy a new vehicle. Maybe by the fall or winter, Zs will actually be available at reasonable prices and the price of Supras will level out (it's starting to, actually) so I can seriously cross-shop...
  7. Sacrilege

Jesus, this is rough. Just...stop co-opting model names that have legitimate performance roots for bland, uninspired crossovers. I understand that the objective is to entice potential buyers by implying that this is also a sleek performance vehicle (and not a bloated, high-riding 4-door with a...
  8. STOCK 2023 Nissan Z Goes Drag Racing! *IMPRESSIVE RESULTS*

Within specific parameters, yes. Absolutely, that is the goal. But the crucial point you're overlooking is that the real objective appears to be to maximize the potential of the specific vehicle, not to compare said vehicle to every other existing vehicle that could conceivably be used to...
  9. STOCK 2023 Nissan Z Goes Drag Racing! *IMPRESSIVE RESULTS*

That's a silly point to make, though. It'd be like saying that there's no real logic in buying anything other than a 911 GT3 if you are trying to chase absurd track times with a factory vehicle. That just ignores so very many other factors. What if, for instance, you are trying to run a car at...
  10. Z suspension failed on R&T Performance Car of the Year

Yeah, that's no good. The new Z is being made to look a bit more like a punchline with nearly every objective test. Now, from a subjective perspective, we've all seen comparisons wherein it is the preferred vehicle, even when it's seldom better in any measurable way.
  11. Nismo Z prototype spied testing in the U.S.

Unless this is an entirely misleading mule, it sure looks something like that rendering. I'm here for it, I'm sure it will look fine (as opposed to virtually every version of a hypothetical bisected-grille I have seen).
  12. Nismo Z prototype spied testing in the U.S.

    Seems pretty plausible ?
  13. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

    Exactly! Those crazy...wealthy folks ?
  14. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

That's the best way to put it - the A90 has such exaggerated lines that yellow seems to naturally suit it well. I'd like to see the Z in an orange, that might work well...
  15. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

That seems to be at least an exaggeration - from what I'm seeing, the average age of a Corvette buyer during the middle C7 era was 59. It's hard to locate reliable data on specific models, I'm finding. In any case, I... don't regard 50s as especially "young" ? Will a New Corvette Appeal to...
  16. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

That's possible, but I'd argue that there are different audiences, too. Despite the C8 seeing lower-aged buyers relative to previous Corvette generations, it's still often viewed as a "Boomer car," at least from a popular culture perspective. Now, that may change or even be changing, with more...
  17. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

I'm feeling the pull in that direction, too, man! I have found myself looking around southern FL (300-mile radius from Naples, basically) to see if a CPO 2021/22 3.0 Supra in yellow (the only color I'm currently considering). If one showed up, and the details looked good to me, I'd have such a...
  18. 2023 Nissan Z are finally starting to roll into dealerships

Yeah, it's incredibly hot-and-cold for me. Extremely dependent on lighting, so that's no good. Seeing as we'll all be waiting for months, years, or possibly until the end of time before getting a Z (assuming we're still interested by then) maybe they'll eventually offer more interesting colors ??‍♂️
  19. Nismo Z prototype spied testing in the U.S.

Looks like they're predictably going with a mesh-like grille insert, which is nice. Someone thought they could make out fender vents and the above-mentioned hood vents have been suggested but I'm not seeing the fender detail clearly and I don't think the lighter colored vehicle has the same hood...
