I concur, Dr. In fact, I think that highly-repeatable 3.9 and low-12 second 1/4 mile times would be huge wins for the NISMO. Something that nearly everyone is able to replicate with a reasonable degree of ease. That's partially what has set the new Supra apart from the Z (among other things, I...
I hope that it does post quicker times than the Performance - which already runs in the 4.1 second range assuming one can cleanly launch it - but that weigh gain may be a factor. The tires, suspension settings, and transmission programming could help it get into the 3.8 range. That would look...
Really?? Where are you seeing that? That's wild because what I've seen is that it's about a $900 increase (from 53,595 to 54,500 for the 3.0, for example).
It's especially true if you are trying to shop somewhat locally. If I'd found a yellow Supra within a 300-mile radius and without some silly markup during the last year, I'd probably be driving it.
Just the spoiler, please!
I have to imagine that there will be an aftermarket variant of this spoiler even if Nissan does not decide to share the part with any other markets.
I fear that Nissan may be making a calculated decision in deliberately *not* optioning the base Z with LSD, at the very least. Surely Nissan reps have read the feedback. They've heard the noise.
I guarantee it is known within the company that they'd move as many units of the base Z as they...
Yeah, I kind of like the front fascia of the Nismo, even if the rest of the kit is a bit try-hard for my taste. I could see getting a standard Zed and replacing the bumper cover (thus also avoiding the red accent). That presupposes that I could ever actually purchase a Z, of course ? :rolleyes...
Do we know to a certainty that the new orange will be a solid color without the black roof in all markets? Wouldn't especially matter to me, in either case, but it's just a curiosity.
