Exactly right. Highly mechanical cacophony of sounds when not under much load. It's just how they sound, pretty much regardless of the specific manufacturer or the engine size.
It may depend upon the color you're looking for, there are different offerings in each model year, thus far. Beyond that, there won't be many differences between them other than likely pricing. There's cash on the hoods of 2024 models in various markets so it's highly likely that you could find...
I remember an R&T article a while back that pointed this out specifically as it pertained to sports cars and it's only more accurate now.
Income Inequality Is Killing Sports Cars
I'm in the position wherein I have no need for more than two chairs in my vehicle but that's not the common...
Yeah, I'm almost certainly going with the Continental ExtremeContact Sport 02 as soon as I decide I've had enough with the factory rubber which is so low-adhesion it feels as if the roads have been generously buttered.
Which is to say "soon."
Right? I was so surprised at how decent mine sounded relative to what I'd been hearing/reading that I was initially convinced it had an aftermarket exhaust on it!
Totally agree. When I swing across to Miami for a long weekend, the Z returns shockingly good fuel economy.
I've taken to leaving it in standard mode and using the standard meter view during the work week and switching it to sport mode and sport meter for "Weekend Mode" ?
Finally saw a new NISMO in SWFL! That now makes 5 new Zs that I've seen in the wild, including my own. In "sportscar country." Entering the 3rd year of production...
Good god, these vehicles are rare ?
Basically my take, as well. It almost seems to me like the Z was designed with that offsetting top from an overall aesthetics perspective. Gorgeous color, though, truly.
True! It's such an industry-wide trend, as well. From multi-million-dollar hypercars on down to our plebian Z. Like having black alloys on one's passenger car places it firmly in the 2015-current era (though I *think* that may be ending).
The only other Zs I've seen in the metal have been monotone, but all were at a distance except for a Rosewood-colored model. Thus, I can't say if I "dislike" that look on the Z, really. Seems fine in most cases but I will say that the black roof with a contrasting body makes the car appear...
Come on, man. If the idea is that an auto manufacturer wedging some kind of socio-political elements into their marketing is what causes their imminent demise, I've got bad news about basically every large auto manufacturer in the world. The other issues you pointed out could be effectively...
Hell, I'd just like to get the update that allows 2024 models to display exterior temperature in the Sport gauge configuration. Surely, that's simply a software update.
