I bet dealers will be marking them up here in Florida.
There is vid on YouTube of some guy paying $76K for 2026 Heritage and he’s saying in his vid that it was excellent deal because some dealers want $100K for heritage WTF 😳

I wonder if the short shifter will be a significant change?

Nissan is desperately trying this business move, but will end up with exorbitant pricing plus dealer gouging! The Z’s future is already decided. No way the content justifies this type of pricing by demand. Glad I grabbed my 2025 at discounted deal!!!
I can just imagine walking into a Nissan dealer and telling them I'm interested in ordering a 2027 Z, with them getting around three for the year. I'm sure they'll be completely reasonable on pricing, with only a dozen or so crazy dealer add-ons. "... And we're giving you our super duper, very special crapola protective finish and laser deflecting window tinting for only $4999.99!!!":wink::crackup:

Looks like Nissan is taking a page out of the Porsche hand book. Porsche dealers only get a set amount of allocations a year depending on their sales volume. The most desirable models bring the most over MSRP.
I have a feeling the Nismo 6spd will be the hot seller for 2027.
On the good side the used Z's might hold their value better for owners. On the bad side if you're ready to purchase a 2027 new Z discounts might be minimal.

I believe that I read a statement from Nismo Nick saying in FB that was 3 MT Nismo per Delaer not Zs (Sport, Performance, and Heritage) in total. But I might be wrong.

I was going to add that too as other car manufactures do the same with their specialty vehicles. Last thing they want is Nismo's sitting on the lots like the 25's and soon to be 26's with the word of the manual coming.

I wonder if this tactic drives the prices of older ones up a little.
If I sold mine now, I would lose the shirt off of my back, but maybe now, if I sold in 1 or 2 years from now, maybe I could get what I paid (supply and demand)? That would be nice but would probably never happen. I'm good at losing money with cars, lol
I think only if keeping miles low and kept mostly stock. This has been the trend for many ‘older’ brands even if not too rare to begin with. Of course, off colors and unique color combos help w scarcity.

Alot of the Nismo autos, esp unsold ones, will left deeply discounted with the manuals coming out.

I went in the local Nissan Dealer last year looking to purchase the new 2025 Z Heritage Edition which they didn't have. Ended up leaving with a Brand new 2025 Z Nismo with close to $10K off MSRP. They made me a offer I couldn't refuse, LOL.

I’m not sure Nissan can afford anything but on demand production. They are desperately trying to save the company while also keeping a very very niche vehicle. It’s not surprising that they are going this route. I applaud them for sticking with it. Quite honestly the new ceo seems to be taking a page out of Ghosn’s book. Ghosn started his revival with the body on frame trucks and the G35 and Z. Espinosa seems to be doing the same thing with the Xterra, Pathfinder, and QX50 as well as the new Q50.
Very true.

Here is some additional news and context about the 2027 Z production for the US. The rumor of Nissan shifting to a build to order style production with the Z was true. 2027 will be very limited and dealers will be able to order on average just 3 Zs for this model year. It is yet to be seen if this is Nissan sun setting the RZ34 right after its first major facelift. The good news is initially it seems the tan interior is available on a variety of colors not just the new green. Speaking of that green it is called "Unryu Green" in Japan but has been changed to "Shinkai Green" for the US market. As of posting this it cannot be ordered and there is no available color code. These might be hard to aquire early. Green will be produced starting in June 2026

As for the NISMO the US gets all the 2027 upgrades ive gone over on here previously but wireless charging is a additional small update.
Again this seems to mark a real shift for how the Z will be sold in the US . This will not be 2024 all over again so if you want one of these be proactive

So, when are orders available?
In other words, when can we start the ordering process?

Rather have the Z, not dime a dozen Corvettes. Not a hit on Corvettes. Exclusivity is OK.
You won't be so happy if you still own the Z years after it is cancelled and you can't find parts for it.

Nissan Infiniti is terrible about parts after a vehicle generation is cancelled/ended. 6-12 months later the parts catalog starts filling up with "discontinued" and "no longer available".

That and so few made, good luck to those in the future......

On average...

So between 1 and 6 for the dealers that order them.
