News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

they did. the 2027 Z NISMO auto or manual has been removed from dealer order banks after that first initial round of allocations. no idea if it will reappear as orderable at a later date or not.

before that even happened the manual NISMO was only going to make up less than 10% of total production of the new build to order model. my rough ballpark guess is that there will maybe be 350 manual NISMOs for the US. could change later in the spring or summer but for now every single one coming to the US was ordered in that first 3 day window at the first of march

My assumption is they have a planned gap(s) in the formal production schedule to produce more if the demand can support it. Last thing they want, whether it's a Z or an Altima, is cars sitting on lots. With Nissan and their continuous decades-long struggle to dig themselves out of a hole, they want every Z that hits American soil to already be sold or to sit for the very least amount of time possible.

Whether it's "overproduction" or "overpriced" or whatever...It worked out for me with my Z a little over a year ago, so no complaints here. Maybe they're minimizing the overproduction part, but the overpriced aspect could still play a factor for those who feel it's an issue.

Just means very limited allocations at a national level. For May production it said the NISMO was totally unavailable.


There have only been 2 times when a manual NISMO could be ordered a short window back in in early March and then those 2 days last week. If I find out what July production will be I will let everyone know but that seems it for June which was at least something because the last time orders opened up it was totally removed from availability

It’s always a consideration, but the numbers aren’t there. It just isn’t worth it for me.

I have stealth gray now. I am thinking I will pass on the white one and see if anything else eventually becomes available. The sales mgr told me national constraint means they can charge whatever they want. He thinks they are going to be about 10K above sticker.

I was told the June allocation means the car is arriving in June.

Here is a guide for looking at that screenshot
CPO means current production order. A dealer can change the color and options during the 2-3 day window these are open. once it closes the order is locked in

PPO means pipeline production order . This is a car already produced by Nissan and on the way a dealer can accept. For 2027 model year Zs are not available this way

National constraint is a limit placed on the the amount available for order during production month.

First NISMO manuals have May production and should arrive in the summer

Ouch. However, if it looks like the demand will exceed the supply, as in national constraint = limited amount available for order, that's what I'd expect from most dealers.
