Just drove to work in an absolute downpour. There were two spots where I swear the water had to be at or close to my door jams. Holy crap. Just went slow and the Z did amazing, like always. #dailydriverproblems

Mitsubishi minisplits are great. Run like champs. We’ve only had issues with the condensate pumps. Have two in a smallish network switch room (redundant/backup in case one fails) and run 24/7 when it’s their turn, so that may be the cause.

I’m a Cannondale hardtail man as well. Mine's so old it has bar ends (CAAD 2 frame!). No one runs bar ends anymore.

How did you like the results of turning the ASC & ANC off?
There are more detailed discussions of ANC/ASE settings in other threads, but short answer:
There’s maybe a bit more road noise, I can accurately hear my AWE Touring exhaust, and my new sub isn’t making insane noises.

Hmmm, I like the idea of the AC for the garage... I live in Fl.
Looked into this a couple of years ago, but wasn't TOO serious about it getting it done. Can't remember if it was Mitsubishi or Daikin, and if it was a 1 ton or 1.5 ton. About 6K out the door. Also don't know if that was a fair price.
They do have DIY minisplits that don't require an HVAC company to install. I believe Adam Booth (abom79 on YouTube) installed a couple/few of these in his new shop in Pensacola a couple of years ago. I assume you'd still need an electrician to get power where it needed to be.

It's awesome. I'm looking at insulated garage doors as well but with 18,000BTU it isn't struggling at all. Not blazing hot last few days but my garage always felt like hell on earth as it faces south. I did my first oil change last night and changed out my oil pan as well and it was nice not being soaked with sweat. I'm in St. Augustine and my guy who did it was so much more reasonable than the other bids and did great work.

My 1.5 ton will cover a much larger garage than what I have. It is a small 2 car. Mine was $5100 complete (other than putting in the electrical circuit). Caution on Mr Cool DIY, some people have issues with them and Mitsubishi is really the gold standard of mini splits.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? I'm in Cocoa Beach and have been wanting to do this for a while!

Got the Z a Fumoto oil valve and some Evo R carbon fiber door handles. Pics soon! I just did an oil change on a car that had a Fumoto valve and it was absolute heaven.

I have a 3 ton MrCool I installed 5 years ago, myself. Last year the indoor unit failed, the evap coils began leaking.
I'm experienced automotive AC tech, so I knew how to diagnose it myself, and MrCool sent me a new indoor unit under warranty.
But, holy cow, try getting R-410a without a license.
For a minute, I considered having a Mitsubishi installed, but in 2025 the price nearly doubled to $12k even though I already had electric, pathways and mounting locations sorted out. It turns out that new EPA legislation requires a new refrigerant and it's extremely expensive now. I ended up just fixing the MrCool myself, I'll be lucky if it lasts another 4-5 years.....

I would not recommend MrCool to anyone. To be fair, I only spent a bit more than $3k including electrical.... But still, I should have paid for a Mitsubishi when they were about $6k installed......
