Wow! I was thinking you could get a small 1/2” aluminum plate and grind/drill solid spacers, but 2”?!?……nah!
I just took some more pics of it; 2 bars of the brace do have a slight angle to them:

Something I forgot to mention... It's actually heavier than the stock one it replaces! The stock brace is fairly interesting in design as it's 2-layer thin stamped steel spot welded together, but appears fairly rigid. The stock brace also has some plastic aero guides riveted on which seem like a bit of a last minute addition or afterthought so I wonder if it was to combat something they found during final wind tunnel testing or aero modeling?

I've written before about it but the Z1 replacement braces are bad products imho, they all appear to be less stiff than stock parts. I'm not surprised they're heavier, have fitment issues etc. I don't think much thought went into making them.

I am very happy with the other two I have, but they were additions to the chassis, not replacements.

I totally agree with you regarding this W-brace though (and from the looks of it, their "high-clearance rear chassis brace" too). Edited my above comment with a few more details.

AWE exhaust delivered by fedex \ ace ventura pet detective shipping co. lol

packaging engineer needs re-think the packaging design. For $81 ground shipping fees I would expect better packaging. For an exhuast that is made to order the box condition looks like it is from the 80’s.

For $1,476, i would at lease double box it. Look at the tape job, ufb…

My box looked even worse! I think they'd benefit from going Borla's route by shipping in 2 smaller boxes, or using much heavier cardboard as you mentioned.

The box is heavy as heck so I can see why it gets so beat up. The good part is the components are well-packaged and arrived perfect. I especially appreciate the tip presentation.

Mine arrived in a box full of holes. It looks like it was shot but I suspect it was on gravel at some point in its travels and that is what made all the perforations. I'm waiting for nice weather here in Atlantic Canada to install so I haven't opened the box yet ... hopefully that isn't a mistake

What could one missing bolt do to an exhaust anyway?

Speaking of a missing bolt, always good to shake exhaust parts around before installing to make sure there's nothing in there that that shouldn't be. Hardware or other things that could get stuck and make noise...or burn/stink (foam or chunks of cardboard).

I’m beginning to line up my next garage date with my Z! I ordered the Powerstop Z26 brake kit to get in some slotted/drilled rotors, Stillen sway bars, and another oil change kit. Once I decide on LDPs, I’ll be able to knock out as much as I can including the new Dorman oil pan that I also need to install.

Some new parts showed up today. The B6A's new LDP's look great, and the resonator is huge. I am swapping out the Spools for the B6A and also ordered the Z1 diff brace and some 20MM spacers for the rear with extended studs. I am waiting on some 15MM spacers for the front with extended studs from Eibach, nobody else makes a slip on 15MM.

I also unplugged that stupid little speaker above the driver's footwell and it made a noticable improvement in less random sounds. I have ASE disabled already but not ANC, so this tells me I need to have ANC completely disabled as well.

Anyone feel like being a guinea pig on for the hood popper bypass?
Medical stuff going on right now and I can't wash my car, much less wrench on it.

Didn't get a pic of the finished parts but you can see them in the bottom pic. The red piece is heatshrink to keep the resistor body and lead from grinding on each other. Wire seals are installed and the resistor assy is sealed in adhesive lined heatshrink.
