Finished sound deadening my trunk. Road noise is a lot better. Hopefully I will find the time and money to go with a 3" downpipe and 3" catback in the near future.
Hey, how did you get the plastic off of the strut towers? I had issues getting mine off

As info, you don't need to remove all the plastic paneling to do the sound deadening project.

Yeah I know, I more or less did as much as you did in your photo, maybe a little less, but I also wanted some on the rear shock towers. I also wanted to add some foam for some more sound deadening

Changed the oil today and just got back from a spin. I can definitely tell the car likes the new oil. Power comes on much better. I use 5W30 Mobil 1. I do have a Stillen piggyback tune on it.

1st oil change was 1500 miles. The car has 6480 on it now.

Should we be changing oil more often than 5K miles? I don't track the car but it sees full throttle pulls to redline everytime I drive it. (It's my daily.)

As an aside, I snapped another bolt that holds the belly pan on. Just like last time. I always start them by hand but somehow get one crossthreaded everytime! The last time I snapped it when I knew it was crossthreaded and I was backing it out but was able to thread the stud out with some vice grips. No dice this time.

So I drilled it out but got too aggressive bc I was aggravated and oversized the hole. A plastic push pin actually worked great. Everytime it's one at the back with the captured nuts. Couldn't ever be one of the ones with the removable nut plate, NOOOOOOOO, couldn't EVER be one of those...

Glad you did your break-in oil change early. 5k should be the perfect interval from here on out. Tomorrow will actually be my 3rd oil change (2,780 miles), but only because I want to get my aluminum oil pan installed. After this, it'll be 5k miles or annually, whichever comes first.
