Added a new garage mate for my Z, 2026 Audi RS3. Insane little car.

How do you like it and what did you have before? I’m thinking the same thing to replace my daily, currently I have a 24’ Lexus IS350 F sport. I love the comfort and feeling but wish it was a little more special in the engine department!

Why not an IS500? I would jump all over one of those if I did not have the Z.

Only got to drive it home last night but its special. The way it grips is a completely different driving experience to the Z.

I traded in my Tacoma that I didn't drive. I think the RS3 would be a big upgrade from an IS350.

I thought about that too! Just nice to have AWD for winter. We don’t usually get a ton of snow but we’ll see 4”+ inches snow fall at least 2-3 times and 8”+ at least once most years. I know I could get snow tires to help combat that but I have pretty limited garage space to store a second set of tires and wheels. Plus I’ve driven one and the engine is great and it can roast the tires just as easily as our Z’s (actually a little easier with 265 width tires), but outside of a more charismatic engine it drives exactly the same as my IS350 around town, plus the 6 speed auto on my IS350 better suits the engine than the 8 speed auto on the IS500 (seems to shift a little slower than the 6 speed does). If your looking for a Lexus sedan and RWD works it’s totally worth getting if you don’t already have the IS350 but if you have the 350 already it just isn’t that much more special to me at least to spend another $20-$25k over what mine is worth…

The Audi is tempting with the engine note (the IS500 has a pretty awesome one too), but if it can be a comfortable and civilized cruiser that can turn hardcore when I want it too that could push me to spend the extra $20k to get it!

Awesome! I think I’ll need to find some time to check one out!

A railroad crossing is always a good tell to judge cowl shake. The improvement in that was night & day after installing a similar chassis brace on the S2000 (Spoon X-brace).

The ease [or not] of installation will also let you know if your chassis is still straight or if it's gotten tweaked. Again, very noticable when installing similar on S2000's and Evo 8/9's.
I was thinking about grabbing before, now you motivated me! Thanks!!!

Finished sound deadening my trunk. Road noise is a lot better. Hopefully I will find the time and money to go with a 3" downpipe and 3" catback in the near future.

Looks great! Nicely done. How many sq/ft did you use?

Pro tip: Apply any leftovers to the underside of your kitchen sink. Thank me later!

I bought a box from FB marketplace, I barely put a dent in it. I lacked the patience to fully deaden everything, I think I used maybe 8 of the sheets?

I rent, so there's no point doing it to the sink. The SUV will appreciate the sound deadening, though.
