Put on a few hundred miles with RSR springs, Stillen sway bars, the Z1 diff brace and bushing, with Z1 lowered wheel fitment and WOW.

This is my daily driver and very happy with the changes. The car feels very different, planted and smooth with zero lateral roll. Small changes made a huge improvement. The car feels great. The RST springs didn't lower it a ton, 3/4 inch I think.

Waiting for the short shift and shifter bushings next. That being said somehow the car is even shifting more crisply and stiffly (in a good way) that prior to all those add ons).
Any pics with the springs?

This doesn’t go here, but I don’t care. I wanted people to see it.

Went to the ER sunday night, was admitted to hospital and came home yesterday. Bacterial infection mixed with Crohn’s turned my gut into a war zone. A few times they let me have vegetable broth and 6oz of water, but for almost a week I didn’t have anything. Lost 20 lbs, in the most excruciatingly agonizing way possible. Sometimes when people find out I have Crohn’s their go-to response is something like, “My uncle had that and he died when he was 43.” For future reference, if this happens to you, maybe try a different response. Anyway, major wake-up call, but there’s not really much I can do to manage it.

Enough about me, not why I’m writing this.

I checked in here a few times, to try to distract myself, but no dice.

Fortunately Im home, the wild narcotic cocktail has run its course, and I’m really enjoying reading up on everyone’s stuff. It’s not like my life centers around this forum/club, but it’s really fitting into my life and filling a little void. I’ll set aside some time to focus on this, maybe do some research to try and help someone, and it makes me feel like I had a beer or two with friends.

A lot of good people here. Asking and answering. Helping people they‘ll never meet in person.

My life with my Z wouldn’t be the same without this, and I appreciate all of y’all for that.

Cheers!
Chad

Glad you're home man. Hospital stays suck.

I wish this thread was a little more active to provide more distraction for you! People can be insensitive about all things, I'm going through this at work right now but over stupid drama. Glad to hear that you're healing up!

My partner has crohn's, sure its an adjustment but she makes due just fine for the most part from what I gather. (A little bit of Yin to the 'died at 43' yang, I suppose.)

It was a busy weekend in the shed for me, which is to say I've had a great weekend! I installed the Mishimoto oil catch can, Mishimoto air intakes (covers off), and 25 mm Akata wheel spacers all around. If I was to do this again I would order the 20 mm spacers for the front and 25mm for the rear but I'm very pleased nonetheless. Removing the OEM air boxes was a royal pain the the A** and during the process I decided they were never going back in so I simplified my life by cutting the quick connect clips and cutting the worm gear clamp on the OEM hose on the driver's side turbo. I'm very happy with these mods and can't wait to get an exhaust!

I felt a quicker boost response after installing this CAI, let me know if you do or if I’m imagining it!

Going OK, a little at a time. Today I’ve had cream of wheat, a slice of bread and somelightly buttered linguini (ugh) and a half cup of coffee that was a mistake.…while my wife and daughter were chowing down on BBQ everything my office sent over Friday. Made it a point not to check email. Planning to work tomorrow, and it’s going to be hectic. I hear ya though, for me it’s straight from the medical drama back to the work drama.

I found out I had it at 32 and have had 3 bad (hospital stay) flares since. Been on a biologic for about 3 years first flare on the biologic) and it suddenly stopped working. If she’s on a biologic make sure her gastro checks her antibodies often, because it can get really bad really fast Once your body learns to fight the medicine.

She's had one surgery, no bag needed luckily. Though another appointment is in the not so distant future so if surgery is on the table again that will be something to manage. Last one was at a good hospital in NC that had its own gastro unit.

If its well managed you'd hardly know from the outside looking in, but for those that have it and those around them, well, you know the struggle. Thankfully modern medicine is here and evolving.

I know no two cases are exactly the same obviously, but keep fighting the fight

Dammit man. I'm not sure what to say...Sounds like you at least know some things to look out for and have the info you need to come up with a plan with your Dr. So that's the good news. Hopefully you're able to come up with a game plan that works. I sure hope for the best for you!

Gotta say I’m one of the ones that points out ‘the NISMO isn’t a daily driver” crap.
Well, I’m 12 hours away from a drive to work, with the most sensitive gut I’ve probably ever had. Enough so that I’ve gotta dress casual, something with a stretchy waist. Not even sure how to deal with the seat belt. Guessing I’ll be wishing for a more compliant suspension for the next week or so. :ROFLMAO:

I understand what you're saying. I've found out that driving the NISMO in regular mode and a moderate slow speed helps a lot with the stiff suspension. Of course, if the roads are crappy, there is not much one could do.
