Because I want it here yesterday. lol It'll be delivered on Tuesday with new Alpharex headlights and taillights so Tuesday is Nissan Z Christmas as far as I'm concerned.
I understand the sickness. 😁 I’m with you!!! The power on 7 really surprised me.

I wish someone can figure out what the boost addition is like on the different modes. That's the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger

Would this work on a Nismo Auto Transmission Z? If so because there's already three Maps on the current ECU, when you select between Normal - Sport - Sport + does that mean you abandon these selections, leave the vehicle in Normal which and then make the selections on the Stillen device?

Maybe this is a question best asked of Stillen. I am not sure what exactly the TruControl does outside of increasing boost. But whatever it does, the performance result is incredible.

I think fuel and timing is also modified. Waiting on stillen to reply.

Just got my TruControl in the mail. Very excited to check this thing out. I'll probably install tomorrow. Instructions seem very thorough too in comparison to what I read about Racechip. I love that this thing is literally a Racechip GTS5 with more specific support and attention for our cars from Stillen. Best of both worlds.

Don’t start out with your foot deep into Race 7, it pulls hard.

I'm definitely going to start on the way more conservative side. My Z still only has 2.1K miles on it so I don't expect really pushing it hard, especially out of the gate.

Did we ever figure out why Mellowyellow's TruControl seemed to have issues on the first run?

No I don’t think there was an answer. I know mine was straight forward. I followed the directions and everything went smoothly

I tuned my car with this at 1400 miles. Started at 3 then 6 and now 7. After the 1200 mile break in {which I think is neanderthal and not really a thing anymore) I I'm not holding back with this car. WOT every day at some point. I'm approaching 3000 miles and this is the best $550 I ever spent in my life. What Max boost is everyone seeing?

I did not do any break in I did launch controls with under 20 miles on mine. Most people here freak out about it but my Z's longevity will be just as good as anyones. They would trip if they knew what they do with these engines at the factory before they get out of QA. I have not broken an engine in since my 1981 Suzuki TS 185 Enduro motorcycle and I've never had an engine failure or an oil burner. That was a great bike btw.

As far as boost, I'm too busy hanging on to the wheel look at the boost at this point in my Stillen trucontrol fun.

This product is amazing, no doubt. Have you messed with any V8s?

Yes sir, the most "fun" I had with V8s was the LS1 in my 1998 Z28 6 speed and the 400 Pontiac in my 1973 Lemans.

But this Z is my favorite so far in my life. Honestly. It's just a great car all around.
