Suspension Techniques/KW manufactures the sway bars, and Nismo twin tube coilovers. This is very weird that this is happening. ST has been in the business of making swag bars and lowering springs for a LONG time.
could be outsourced to a different factory or something

Right front side just bent and snapped. I replaced it under warranty after much resistance from Nissan. The 2nd one is already bending in the same fashion. The link moves nice and free, disappointing since these Nismo sway was a gift. Looking to probably buy a Z1 Front bar.....anyone have the problem with the Z1 bar?

Thanks,

Forged? Or welded together? Some aftermarket sway bar manufacturer used forged metal process to make very strong metal.

Why I don't buy nismo branded products. Anyone can pay for licensing to get in on the money train to sell .

depends on who the maker is, so pays to do the research

For example Nismo doesnt make their wheels. You know makes them? Rays

All of the rear arms and the adjustable end links and front uppers are all fully legit. They are spl and just a different color. However you pay more for the exact same product just because it says Nismo. Also all Nismo forged rims are Rays.

Rays is a great legit manufacturer of wheels. Can't go wrong with that biz . But not all nismo branded products are made by top tier companies like Rays.

If the Nismo is fully build in Japan, how are parts of it from other countries?

All the adjustable arms are made by SPL and the intake/heat exchangers by AMS, both are considered the highest quality manufacturers for our platform available.

The sway bars appear to be an outlier.

you’re mixing up the Nismo model with Nismo parts separately available for sale

this might be a shock but…

car manufacturers dont make all their own stuff. Some is made by other car manufacturers. Some is contracted out to afternarket companies. Some is contracted out to specialists.
Similarly, the optional parts catalog is full of rebranded stuff

some is good
some is ok
some is bad

some is made in japan
some is made in china
Vietnam
Germany
Usa
Uk

Sure seems like this sway bar is shit

All Nismo is not from Japan. I believe they try to source out to companies within the market. Like Spl. Which is USA. KW is German I believe. (Over there somewhere.).
Yep, why I won't settle for anything less than SPL for suspension upgrades, UCAs, etc. Pay once for quality, suspension is critical.

And most of you guys know, even the Rays forged OEM wheels that come on the 370 Nismos V1 V2, even some G coupes, are top quality. Strong and balance perfectly!

I've decided to pull the trigger on some sway bars...I've been reading through some of the conversations here and it seems like there are some fans of Stillen, Z1, and Whiteline with the Nismo option being less of a preference due to some QC issues. After pricing them out, this is where I'm at in trying to compare the different options:

Whiteline $782 (Whiteline)
Front Dia. 27mm
Rear Dia. 24mm
*Incl. end links and mounting accessories

Z1 $450 OR $730 w/ Z1 End Links
Front Dia. 35mm
Rear Dia 28.5

Stillen $515 (CZP)
Close to stock diameter, thicker walls than OEM

The Whiteline are the most pricey of the bunch, but that price point includes the sway bar end links. Z1 would run about $50 less for a similar package. I'm not sure what end links would go with the Stillen, but a front/rear set from SPL looks to run $475 and a Nismo set would run $610.

Ultimately my questions are this:
1.) What sway bars did you go with?
2.) What settings do you prefer on your aftermarket bars?
3.) Why did you choose that brand?
4.) Is there a significant benefit from upgrading the sway bar end links at the same time?

Any input or feedback would be appreciated...trying to keep this around (or under) $800 if I ultimately opt to do bars and links...

Went with ST Suspensions Sway Bar Kit | 2023+ Nissan Z (50/1/2129)

I prefer these because I can fine tune my vehicle to how I want it. Reduces body roll, more responsive, and high quality materials for long lasting performance.

Far from an expert here, but going in my consideration of bars was how much over stock they added to stiffness. Quality important for sure, but if the numbers given by the robot below are accurate (or even just representative), the Z1's may be too stiff for some even at their softest setting. Your tires matter also. Anyway point being not all sway bars are the same, require different amounts and type of maintenance, etc. So think about your goals and other equipment.
