That's the same fluid I run, but I buy it by the gallon jug since the pumps fit it. I have changed my transmission twice and differential thrice and haven't found the need to replace the crush washers yet. They still torque down and seal fine.

Amsoil vs. Redline really isn't an argument, but is more of a comparison of the best two available on the market. Slight differences, but you truly can't go wrong. Redline uses better base oils (Group V) while Amsoil has the stronger additive package (Group IV).

I'd give Redline the edge in high-temp performance while Amsoil gets the nod for cold winter weather conditions.
75w-90 or 80w-90 I am here in texas. So not sure it really matters but thought I ask?
Put plug magnet in threads on an angle and swivel around and take back out, will pick up some more metal filings
I can do that!!

I was thinking about that, but I’m a little low on funds so I was gonna do the rear support brace the one aluminum oil pan and a gizmo under shroud for now. Maybe next time I change it the fluid I’ll do. The cover

I find it hard to believe that no one has mentioned Motul gear 300 yet this is coming from a Amsoil dealer when it comes to limited slip diffs and picky transmissions gear 300 is the GOAT especially since they have 2 versions one for limited slip and regular.

I know it takes 75W-90 I want to upgrade from factory fill to amsoil severe 75w-90. What gear oil are yall running. I don’t track the Nismo just street driving and occasional spirited driving on the road. And sharing the pump I’m gonna get to do all this seeing how I gotta do it on the garage floor. What are y’all thoughts??

Just make sure to order a tube of slip lock as well. Even though severe gear says it has friction modifiers for lsd get a tube of it as well just in case some clutch style lsd’s like ours can be picky.

I don't know how you keep up on all this stuff. I am continually impressed by your knowledge on this forum!

You can also go with Redline 75w110. Extra protection at higher temperatures when the fluid gets thinner.
Amsoil SG 75W-110 is (or was?) very popular with the Evo 8/9/X crowds for the rear diff & xfer case. Those things take some serious launch abuse at the dragstrip though. A straight 90 weight gear oil was factory-fill (and what I always stuck with). Same goes for the S2k diff which was known to be made of glass (straight 90 factory-fill).

Since then, the SAE spec for 90 weight has changed so today's SAE 110 is more similar to the 90 of old.

Fun sidenote, back in the day we used what I coined the "Redline Cocktail" for DSM/Evo transmissions, which was a combination of MTL + MT-90. That's why Redline finally started blending it themselves to create MT-85, which is also what our Z manual transmissions take!
