I know it takes 75W-90 I want to upgrade from factory fill to amsoil severe 75w-90. What gear oil are yall running. I don’t track the Nismo just street driving and occasional spirited driving on the road. And sharing the pump I’m gonna get to do all this seeing how I gotta do it on the garage floor. What are y’all thoughts??

I use Redline 75W-90 along with a pump that screws onto the jug (I currently have these 3 on jugs in my garage):

Easy DIY job laying on the garage floor. Back up onto ramps if you have them, otherwise jackstands are fine. It's important to keep the vehicle near level. I personally back up onto ramps then jack the front up to level it out.

Plenty of room under there for the jug/bottle w/pump. You can see the drain in my 2nd pic; fill bolt is on the driver's side of the case. 10mm hex bit is needed for the fill & drain.

Amsoil SG is a great gear oil as well, I've run their products in one of my Jeeps when Redline was back-ordered. You can't go wrong with either product. The pumps I linked above will fit the Redline gallon jugs and the Amsoil quart bottles.

If you end up with the Amsoil EasyPack squeeze bag, you'll need a small rubber tube instead of a pump to put on the nozzle and snake up into the fill hole. I used this method to fill my Grand Cherokee front differential twice, using the below 1/4" clear fuel line:

Quick tip for first time DIY'ers. Crack open the fill plug before you drain. This way you know if filling it is going to be straight -forward or of you are going to have problems / have to come up with a plan B.

Learned this the hard way on my TJ.
Yah first time here it’s on has 4,269 miles but I going on 3 years owning. So I figured it’d be good to get some new fluid in there.

Great time to get it done. Get your nose plug ready, it'll be gross! Wipe off the magnet really well before reinstalling the drain bolt.

Are you using that redline oil from Z one with the two washers? I know red line is good. I run Amsoil 5W-30 and I was just trying to stick with Amzon, but I mean I could run this if you feel that the hand sold not up to the task and this is better for me.

Will do it seems pretty straightforward and was great when I asked questions about it as far as knowing where to fill up pretty much it takes 2 quarts and once I start seeing it, come out the hole at top you know it’s filled up just as long as I keep the car level. So it seems like a very straightforward a job as long as both of the plugs or bolts remove fine clean your thread and just put them back on with the washer. Your thoughts it’s pretty straightforward right from Moscow 1 to 10. This is probably like a 2

That's the same fluid I run, but I buy it by the gallon jug since the pumps fit it. I have changed my transmission twice and differential thrice and haven't found the need to replace the crush washers yet. They still torque down and seal fine.

Amsoil vs. Redline really isn't an argument, but is more of a comparison of the best two available on the market. Slight differences, but you truly can't go wrong. Redline uses better base oils (Group V) while Amsoil has the stronger additive package (Group IV).

I'd give Redline the edge in high-temp performance while Amsoil gets the nod for cold winter weather conditions.

Easier than an oil change! Like you said, fill it up until it comes back out the fill hole. When it slows to a drip, reinstall the fill bolt. 2 quarts gets it done with a little leftover.
