I use Motul 8100 5W-30 (after I passed 10k)

IMHO, as far as brands go, if you do 5k oil changes or less, all the quality brands are going to hold up and perform similarly.

Oil weights are more nuanced. There's some good threads on that here.

Is this the Motul oil you are talking about:

I dumped the factory oil this week, and changed the oil and filter. I put in Mobil1 0w30 ESP with the Nissan recommended filter. Hot idle pressure went up a bit with the higher viscosity, start up is nice and quiet and smooth. All good. Nismo magnetic drain bolt with factory copper washer.

There is a massive shortage of 0w20 synthetic due to Trump's war. There is rationing happening and Nissan has to swap in 5w30. The base synthetic fluid comes from the Middle East and shortages are happening. They have no choice but to use 5w30, it won't be fully synthetic IMO.
In honor of your TDS inspired "massive shortage" I bought 20 quarts today on sale for $21.99/5 quarts at Walmart. I left the dozens of other 0/20 full synth 5 quart containers for others, in case the "massive shortage" hits even harder.. I have 3 vehicles that use 0/20 so I will put it to good use, I'm not hoarding. Thanks for the heads up on the massive shortage I would have hated to have missed out on this sale.

Wow which oil?! That's a great price... I also have 3 vehicles that all run 0W-20.

Super Tech. Lots of haters of it but I’ve used it for a decade with no issues with motors.

I do use mobile 1 for the Z though.

Here another oil I looking at and I might give this Mobile 1 (5w-50) a try first:

The Mobil 1 Supercar Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-50 Dexos R is a high-quality motor oil designed for optimal performance. With an unspecified length warranty, this motor oil ensures long-lasting protection for your vehicle. The 1 qt. volume makes it convenient for regular maintenance, while the 5W-50 oil viscosity is suitable for a variety of driving conditions. Manufactured by Mobil 1, a trusted brand in the automotive industry, this motor oil is formulated to provide exceptional lubrication and protection for your engine.

That's one of the oils that ExxonMobil made w/GM for the C8; they also have a Supercar 0W-40. You can also look at the M1 ESP-series of oils which are very similar.

I personally would only run the 5w50 in track use if your oil temps are getting high, the 0w40 mentioned above is a great choice. I'd like to see the oil pressure readings of the 50 weight at normal hot idle, I seen a decent jump just going to a 30 weight Mobil1 ESP oil.
