Sweet Congrats!!!
You’ve undoubtedly posted this here before, but can you list your wheel and tire specs?
I see extended studs. are you running spacers?
Spec drop is 20mm front (0.8”) and 25mm rear (1”). Is that where yours ended up?

No spacers, all offset. I picked up the extended studs because I like the way they look when they stick out of open ended lug nuts. The 100% thread engagement is definitely a bonus.

Ohlins Japan specifications is a 25mm drop all around.

They really need to start paying the seal seamers on the Z production line by the hour and not per car. Reminds me of when my grandma was deep into Parkinson’s and was determined to ice my birthday cake.

Right!? But I’d rather have more than less. I’ve seen them on other cars where they totally miss their mark.

@OptionZero

Just HAD to introduce me to air cups huh?!?!?!?!

Didn't know they existed. Although I was considering KW's version (whatever their acronym is) when shopping coilovers. WAY too pricey. So nice to know there's something else out there, but it's more fuel on the fire in regards to throwing money at my Z.

Haven't decided, just thinking. But supposedly the Stanceparts cups will fit and work with the FPSpec long stroke kit I'm getting from Sakebomb. If I EVER get them...3 months now... (imagine whatever emoji here that symbolizes impatience)

Stanceparts air cups are universal, but you need to tell them the shaft diameter. They install below the upper mount, above the spring, with shaft running through it. The diameter is necessary to properly size the opening to ensure an tight fit.

Since Sakebomb is building them, they can let you know the shaft diameter. If you intend to go air cups, tell them now before the assemble the coilovers. They should get the aircups in hand before they put it all get other, or else they need to take it apart to put them on.

Probably won't affect you, but the air cup is about 1.5 inches thick. Make sure thats accounted for in deciding the spring length. Unless you plan on gong real low, that should be well within the adjustment range.

Stanceparts can supply you with wiring, air lines, tank and compressor, BUT you can also choose your own.

In retrospect, I would have picked my own tank, as the one supplied by them is pretty ugly. You can see it here:

All the wiring and lines goes on top. This is probably fine if you mount your tank hidden, underneath the trunk "floor" (that requires removing the spare tire for room). Above the floor, it looks like an eyesore. There are now "seamless" tanks that hide the fittings on the end and have no ugly welds.

Other factor: noise. There's almost no way around SOME noise, but, there are brackets that have "isolators" which are basically rubber bushings (some might even use a spring) to negate some of the noise

lastly there is a TANKLESS option:
https://www.stanceparts.com/product/tankless-front-kit/

No experience with this, my understanding is that it just relies on the compressor to fill the cup on demand. This may cause a delay. Conversely, with a tank storing air, you always have a supply

The Z center console has space for switches just below the shifter. On my Z34, there were 3 blank spots (i think one is used as a trunk release for later models) I'll take a pic later

I got all 4 corners, but dont bother. Fronts are enough, rear is unneeded effort

Life with air cups is pretty great. I can have a low aggressive stance WITH a front lip and just breeze over bumps and ramps

If I do this I'm leaning tankless at this point. Supposedly with a good pump and running only the front it's 3-5 secs. Not planning to go super-low, maybe 1.5" tops, so this would mainly be for pulling in and out of lots, etc. I don't see needing it spontaneously at every speed bump/hump.

Pretty sure the shafts are 14mm, and because they're long stroke with helpers they should have plenty of body length and stroke to handle the cup thickness and additional travel when inflated.
Supposedly.
Looks like Sakebomb will preinstall them, but haven't decided, and at this point I don't want to give them more reason to continue to hang onto them. If I do decide to do it, I'll get them through Sakebomb to ensure they're exactly what I need.

Per their website, Sakebomb is a dealer so they should have no problem getting you the appropriate stuff

DO NOT get anything but the Ohlins. They will last. The other brands will not.

Heath @ Sakebomb sent me a message last night saying Swift sent the wrong length springs. They expect the correct ones to arrive next week. At this point it's been over 11 weeks and it was supposed to be 4-6. I assume it will be worth the wait, but 3+ months, assuming I get them relatively soon....well...I'm a little frustrated.

now this is pretty cool

assuming the price is competitive with Stanceparts I see little reason to get any other coil over setup. It’s customizable, serviceable stateside, and based on Ohlins

heck, if you’re in Califoria you could just drive there and have them install it

for Z-specific install, you can get OEM switches for the center console:

I think this is the part
https://parts.nissanusa.com/parts/nissan-switch-255001ea0a

or use universal switches like mine
