Just to add to the confusion... I asked a Nissan dealer here in the UK to get me a 15208-65F1A or 15208-65F1B and they said when they enter that into their system it tells them it has been superseded by 15208-9F60A which is not a part number I've seen anyone mention here.

When I google it I just get results saying its for a 370Z and no mention of any of the turbo engines

Also I found this article discussing the new filter relieve valve info which some of you might also find interesting: https://www.nicoclub.com/archives/new_nissan_z_oil_filter.html

I think in the end I'm just going to go with the GTR filter someone else mentioned above, as its larger and its definitely designed for use in high power turbo engines.

My guess would be because the new Z is not sold in the UK. After going through all of this and doing 2 oil changes after doing tons of research, I myself will not put anything but a 65F1(A or B) on my Z. Apparently Nissan says the same thing.

This just popped up on my YouTube feed and was an interesting watch and quite relevant to this discussion. They talk about oil filter bypass valves and the pressure ratings of them

Main takeaway for me is that it's basically irrelevant which filter you use as long as you keep on top of your oil and filter change intervals.

9E01 or Nismo filter and unplug oil solenoid I believe is way to go. I'm attaching a "file" GoRacebox posted also SonicTuned has great information on there web site. I will have car tuned as soon as exhaust and LDP's get in to go along with 3" titanium intakes. Ordered a bunch of the 9E01

I read the article. Have you unplugged the solenoid? Is it just unplugging the solenoid all that needs to be done?

I may have missed it above, but does anyone know the bypass pressure for the OEM filter? I've seen filters with 15 psi rating, but I know some (sports cars) have 22-25 psi bypasses.

According to the Z1 website the OEM filter is 36.26 PSI
