If Nissan limits production they are mis-interpreting their market. I get looks, complements & interest All the time. And. The Z is an affordable, very daily driveable sports car and a rolling reputation advertisement. Nissan should be pursuing market share.

PPF & ceramic coat, would be my guess. I've ceramic coated my vette & caddie; but, I personally wouldn't bother to do it again because they're garage-kept, and I like to wax, myself.
Poor tires get my vote, your traction control is probably doing its best. I experience poor traction on my Performance Z, just as I did with OEM tires on the 370Z.
