Just be aware my 2026 require another subscription on my autel to AutoOath for some gateway thing, worked fine after that
Yeah, that's a "downside" to a diagnostic tablet vs. a code scanner, but $125/yr is far cheaper than the cost for a new scanner to get to everything that's "new."

Well. I pulled the trigger. Set it up. Getting to it was a breeze thanks to PDX_Racer! Turned them both off and went for a spin around the block. I still have the stock exhaust so now I can really tell that my car sounds like a vacuum cleaner 🤣. My need for an aftermarket exhaust just went through the roof. I have to say, they did a really good job with the fake noise pumped through the speakers. I would rather actually hear what’s really going on though so I’m glad it’s off.

ok, you all pushed me over the edge. Unit ordered. In the other related thread I mentioned my Foxwell 809 could see the ANC but couldn’t go deep enough to change the settings. In protest of dealerships charging for this I will do it for free for anyone in my area once I know I can do it. I’m in SE PA near Lancaster.
Im down near Shrewsbury. Maybe we can connect soon.

can you elaborate? What model of scanner? What year is your Z? What happened that didn’t work?
I updated App, firmware, downloaded Nissan updates which added 2026 year Z (was 2023-2025). 2026 Z, Autel MK808s. I'll try again this morning & will post error screen i get when trying to turn ANC/ASC off..

Ok, I am wondering if the 2026 and 2027 models are out of luck at the moment. Would be good if anyone also on this thread with a 26 or 2027 can weigh in on if it works.

Also, did you subscribe to the $125/year service you apparently have to sign up for to enable the functionality? I saw a reference to this being a requirement earlier.

Ah I think it does have to do with Auto Auth subscription, or registering the device. I didn't not opt for a year subscription, thought a year was included with the device. And while I thought I registered the serial successfully with Auto Auth, I seem to be in a loop of inability to unlock the gateway, tried again this morning. I'm old and not the sharpest crayon in the box, but working with this device has been extremely frustrating, an hour to register, more to update, and now a yearly subscription is required for functionality it appears. Thank you though, maybe useful for smarter folks or those who will use it enough to justify $ 125 annual.

No worries! I think we found the culprit! Very annoying to have to pay another $125, but probably worthwhile to not pay the dealer and experiment with your own settings.

For clarification, I did not need to pay anything to make changes to my ā€˜24, but another user said they had to for their ā€˜26.

I was successful without a subscription. Said I had 10 free connections. I will try to access again and see what happens. If I have to pay another $125 per year on top of the $400, I think I will send it back. It’s not worth all that to me. At that point I think I will just unplug the wires to the microphones to get rid of noise cancellation and just deal with the pretend exhaust sound.

I think it is because the 2026 and 2027 models are not available by default and only accessible after performing an update that requires a subscription. I could be wrong (don't have the device yet), but that is how it seems.

I did have to do an update but did not have to add any payment info or agree to a subscription. As of yet.
