  1. Looking for informed opinions on exhaust choice for MT Z

Ask and ye shall (finally) receive! Apologies for the belatedness.
  2. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

Can you please just leave the forum? Most everyone here is sick of your trolling. Suggesting that the Z doesn’t have a ā€œsports car engineā€ is a dumb take. We get it. You have an older Z. Go buy an M2 if that’s what you want. I certainly could have but chose this platform over the M2, Supra...
  3. Looking for informed opinions on exhaust choice for MT Z

I’ll oblige your request soon good man!
  4. Looking for informed opinions on exhaust choice for MT Z

Finally got around to posting this vid of the Magnaflow Speq. Taken on an iPhone and bear in mind I’m not going above 4k rpms due to break-in…
  5. Rear end whine on NISMO Z, manual...

@KrackaC8 you are the best. Can you give us a list of all recommended fluids? Already going to put the Water Wetter and distilled water in the new Heat Exchanger.
  6. Interior Trim

I have this set. And it is great. Bought it from here. Beware though, the door window overlays are a problem: the window switches can’t freely actuate under the trim—the switches get stuck—and so I had to take those pieces out. The rest of it is glorious and looks OEM though…
  7. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

But isn’t the Mishimoto an improvement over the stock exchanger?
  8. How fast is a stock Z really?

    is that with a tune?
  9. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

got it. I have the ā€˜27 Nismo. I am doing intakes, exhaust, HX, and a catch can. I only want to run on 93 octane, don’t want to run race fuel or mess with turbos. My motor is already at 420hp. Was wanting to get a tune at Racebox since I’m near Houston. How much should I tell them to target?
  10. Nissan Z’s Twin-Turbo V6 ‘Is Capable of a Lot More Power,’ Nissan Boss Says

500hp is the sweet spot. Easily and safely achieved with intake, heat exchanger, exhaust, and catch can.
  11. CZP Heat Exchanger Install

My man, can you advise what type of coolant booster to use? I am getting the Mishimoto installed in a few weeks...
  12. Rear end whine on NISMO Z, manual...

Are you certain it is not intake induction sound being broadcast into the cabin? At highway speeds and low RPMs, you can hear that when you accelerate.
  13. New version of the Nismo exhaust?

Not offhand, but my guess is that the track version would be near the 100-105db mark, and street will be at or just below 90db. Short of dropping the stock downpipes, I don't think you will get a ton of volume out of any system--the platform just isn't that loud. As an aside, my local shop had...
  14. 27 manual shift knob replacement?

Yes, this is why I don't think I'll bother with the swap. Seen nothing but trouble, other than for eabrick--who apparently got quite lucky!
  15. 27 manual shift knob replacement?

Videos and experiences of others suggest that this is a very difficult operation. Apparently most have tons of Loctite on the main bolt. Even with using a rubber strap wrench, it seems destroying the stock knob may be unavoidable. I’d love to put a Billetworkz knob on the 27, but I don’t want to...
  16. New version of the Nismo exhaust?

It sounds good. The Speq is probably 95 db by comparison. And I would guess the XMOD is probably 100 db.
  17. New version of the Nismo exhaust?

I didn’t personally install it, but the shop said it fit like a glove. You’d expect that kind of thing with Magnaflow, so I’m sure it’s an ideal fitment.
  18. List of Best Upgrades

Update, thanks in part to the good people on this thread upgrades complete: 1. AMS intake 2. Magnaflow Speq exhaust upgrades to be done by end of November: 3. Mishimoto catch can 4. Mishimoto HX doing these 2 together to make for easiest install. I may do a Racebox tune since I’m so close...
