Looks great, but not worth the price to me, especially given what local dealers would add to the list price. The more I read about Nissan's near-term plans, the more I'm glad I got my Z last year during the production blip.
It's funny, I went to my dealer to buy the hatch helper springs to fix the issue of the hatch not fully opening when you hit the button (another story for another time). While I was there, I noticed a HE car with a manual. It was around the same price if I recall. I talked to one of the sales guys, and he told me they were unwavering on the price, likely not going to discount it, and that he was getting calls from all over the country for it, yet it was still there a week later when I drove past the dealership. Some of these dealers are so smug, thinking that because it is a heritage edition, they can still gouge the customer. At the end of the day, the car's upgrades are really only gold paint on the wheels and stickers. I can probably achieve the same thing for about $50 in rattle can spray paint and another $50 at my local print shop.

I've called 4 dealers now in the Northeast from NY to Vermont. I'm asking to order a 2027 Performance 6 speed in Shinkai green. The 4 dealers stated they called their regional manager, and that there is no order allocation except for a Nismo Z 6 speed. Is this an upsell ploy? Any sales associates on this thread wishing to sell me a Nissan Z Performance 6 speed in Shinkai green in the Northeast?
Update: just got a call back from a local dealer, they gave me a build slot and I ordered a 2027 Z Performance trim, 6 speed, shinkai pearl green metallic over tan leather. The actual build date will be communicated to me shortly, along with delivery date. They do not have final pricing yet, but dealer confirmed in writing final price will not include any market markups, I will pay MSRP. But dealer explained they were able to get a really early build date. But I’ve read here that Nissan will only begin building in shinkai green in June, which is fine with me! I’m very excited!

Yes, indeed. The dealers I've looked at in the Houston area aren't even worth messing with, IMO. The philosophy is basically "a fool and his money are soon parted." The sad thing is, from witnessing the typical driver behaviors on the freeways in the Houston metro, there are plenty of fools to wait for to walk through the dealership's door. :crying:

I think all the order books are open today. Just got a second dealer calling me. But I placed the order already. For anyone looking to get a slot, call your dealer today!

Excellent. Shinkai pearl green metallic with the tan leather will be very sharp.

Z1 does better ones. Fixes hatch poppers for good. When I bought my Nismo, there sas an Orange Heritage Ed 6sp right next to it for less. I liked the retro vibe. But tbh I weighed up all the mods I’d need to do to approach the Nismo… and bought the Nismo. Been there upgrading a 370Z myself and I’m over all that for the most part. At least until my Nissan warranty is finished. 🫤.

Glad you got your order in. Is this for sure will honored by dealers, knowing the huge demand is there? Curious, I should try it at a local dealer here. Any deposits required, refundable I hope?

I mean the dealer called me to say they have a slot, all that remains is for the build date to be confirmed, but it's definitely a May build date. A deposit isn't required. At least at my dealer. They know they won't have trouble selling should for whatever reason I not be able to close the transaction when the 2027 Z is delivered.
