  1. Pop-up hood (popper delete kit) installed with pics

    I’m sorry?!? $100 for 2 resistor packs & a couple of plates?
  2. Pop-up hood (popper delete kit) installed with pics

I agree and suggested long ago ~2ohms was correct (Digital Electronics was my Bachelors degree and now one of my hobbies). Anyway- I found a source of some sealed plug-in resistor modules specifically made to be waterproof and simulate airbags or poppers. Here’s pics of measure two at random...
  3. NISMO Z CARBO TECH BRAKE PADS now available to order on their website.

    Ā„ 170,000 ~ $1,050 but then you have shipping and possibly customs/tarrifs
  4. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

Z1 does better ones. Fixes hatch poppers for good. When I bought my Nismo, there sas an Orange Heritage Ed 6sp right next to it for less. I liked the retro vibe. But tbh I weighed up all the mods I’d need to do to approach the Nismo… and bought the Nismo. Been there upgrading a 370Z myself and...
  5. NISMO Z CARBO TECH BRAKE PADS now available to order on their website.

Just hope they are less brake dust than the pads. My black wheels turn grey. 😳😬
  6. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

+1 I’m a JDM & esp Z guy from the 70s. Do you know anything about the Skyline teaser?
  7. News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

What a Square. šŸ¤“ I bet Paul is involved in the new Skyline Infinity. Looks sick with some RZ34 & GTR styling cues.
  8. Verstappen in a GT500 Z Nismo

This is very cool to see: Max Verstappen driving a Z in the wet. Put the sound on! I admired Schumacher’s ability to stick an F1 to the track in the wet. This is equally as impressive.
  9. Since my dealer charged me 230$ to disable the ASE, I will do it myself

Unless you have specific info on VXDiag, this isn’t always the case. The VM may not allow a program to talk directly to the hardware. The VXDIAG drivers (may) expect direct hw access, which the VM ā€˜sandbox’ will deny. So you go through all the sw setup and find out the hard way it doesn’t...
  10. Oil Filter compilation

np BTW- The difference between a 96F0A and a 96F0E could be only the place of manufacture. That’s according to a Nissan Parts Dept Specialist. They change just the last letter if the specification stays the same, but they sourced it from (for instance) Mexico and not Japan. It’s still the...
  11. 2027 Z US Press Kit Photos

There may be other changes: Beefier suspension struts. It changes the dampening on the street. Needed changing. On a really rough city road the 2025 Nismo is almost unbearable. Of course, on a smooth as glass freeway, it feels awesome.
  12. Oil Filter compilation

afaik Nissan says the 9F60A supersedes the 65F1E. They don’t know what filter they want you to use on the RZ34. I prefer the Mahle to the recent ā€˜OEMs’ and then the taller GTR oil filter (more filter media) in that order. BTW- google says the 15208-9F60A is ā€œapproximately 1.0 bar, which...
  13. 2027 Z US Press Kit Photos

Except for a Z badge on the Nismo (which is poorly done)… I don’t see any external redesign for the Nismo. I may be blind, but it looks the same as a 2026.
  14. Why are Nismo seats designed with no pull to access the rear cubbies???

And the wearing of the side of the seat bolster, if you have it long enough. Yeah, a 2010 370Z Nismo owner…
  15. Looking for experienced input on purchase of new Z (Performance v NISMO)

Wow. Just wow, put down the handbags and stop swinging them at each-other. I’ll make one point that seems to be missed here: Selling original stock Nismo parts to someone that has a less expensive RZ34. Are they the ā€˜Best of the Best’ parts out there? No. But better some cases than what came...
  16. Oil Filter compilation

Will someone much more knowledgeable than me create a table? I know there’s a lot of good info available … but a single summary would be good. Say showing us different oil viscosities and indicators: Better where it gets very hot/cold, better for track use, better if using W30-xx or W20-xx...
  17. Oil Filter compilation

Excellent findings, and overview of the whole issue. (I think) bearings will prove to be the weak point long term for the VR30ddtt. Then the Hi/Lo oil pressure solenoid which doesn’t ā€˜fail safe’. Then prob the high pressure fuel rail, which should be a recall. Seems all pressure / fluid...
  18. Since my dealer charged me 230$ to disable the ASE, I will do it myself

^^This - Plus the annoying rumble if you swap out the ā€œSpare Tire Subwooferā€ for anything else. Usually they are active Subs (where the Z stock sub is passive). Once you have amplified Bass response, the ASE becomes unbearable. I hear it as ā€˜fluttering’ - like when you drive with windows open...
