Yep a lot of folks here have Ferrari aspirations with a Nissan budget and are actually upset that the Z didn’t demolish the Ring!

I do think a fair comparison would be the '27 Nismo Z MT vs. the BMW M2. With all options, those are only a few thousand apart. My sense is that the rawness and more analog feel of the Nismo would win out, and I'd love to see that.

I came from a F82 M4 and I genuinely think the Nismo drives better than my M4 did. However, TC on the BMW was better

Wait I think they do have something with NISMO bits it’s called NISMO Z.

but at the time no Manual Nismo, deal breaker for me, even though the rest of the car, suspension, brakes etc are already top notch, except the Dunlops. Let's see if Misha 'rings' out the new Nismo MT, could be my next bite.

Understandable that’s the reason I went with the Performance. The first and easiest fix are new tires because OEM are terrible.

There are plenty of cars Misha has put around the the ring that are a cheaper than the STD "Z" that have performed exceptionally well!

Yes but like the showroom Focus ST I bought, the great tires lasted 15k miles and the brakes. 30k and no buyer wants daily track crap that wears out. Oh my Camaro SS was the same.

But I know with just a FEW critical upgrades - brakes, sways, springs/coilovers AND proper alignment - the RZ34 will wake up! It is what it is to begin with, poorly spec'ed as factory delivered. Should at least put some of the Nismo bits on it, will be night and day difference. And the power is more than enough for most, plus Nissan 'bones' and heritage are excellent.

Exactly. For me, I was glad to get a “bare bones” Z Sport. The stock specs are good enough for cruising the street and I didn’t have to rob a bank to get a Z. It’s a great platform for building exactly what you want and what you’re willing to shell out of your wallet. For what I paid, I wouldn’t expect it to be burning up any racetrack, as is.

I will take your word on that. In my opinion if how a stock Z handles the Ring is a top criteria maybe you should get one of those other cars that handles it better.
