I was just thinking of color matching the bracket. Good to see it turning out great.

Can the decal on the strut be removed?
A word of warning - if you take off the decal, literally 99.9% of the horrid adhesive they used for the sticker will remain and it does not come off easily. Using Goo Gone signs you up for a second spray paint job as I have now learned.

Lemon oil has always worked better than goo gone for me

My frustration was short lived as I decided to pivot and paint the dampers and the hardware blue to match my Seiran Blue Z. I'll post pics once they're done.

Having some trouble getting the hood brackets to bolt up on my nismo. Did you order pedestrian or standard?
Those are pedestrian as are all 2023+ Zs

I installed mine today also the one issue I have is the bracket holes are a little too big in other words not precision exact fit.. Besides that the install was pretty straightforward I did jack my Z up so I could have better access to tighten the nut.

Seems like the threads on my Z's hood aren't long enough to engage the nut with the bracket installed.

Here's the final result of the painting last night. I forgot to paint the nuts like an idiot so I'm doing those now before I install. FYI - this is just Rustoleum Deep Blue gloss paint and it matches pretty well to the Seiran Blue.

Has anyone had to modify the plastic that is referenced in the instructions? I wasn't expecting on having to do that. The instructions also reference potential bulging, although it sounds like that can happen if you put the washers on the engine bay side and not under the wheel well.

Officially installed. As many have said, the install is super quick. Very happy with how the color matching turned out too.

I do have some concerns with the hood brackets. I noticed that both bent on the first close, especially the driver side one. I ended up bending it back into place but will need to keep an eye on it over time. I assume it'll get better as the struts loosen up a bit but for now, closing the hood slowly is going to be a thing.

I did have to shave off about 1/8th inch on the drivers side little plastic ridge but passenger side was perfect

Do you happen to have a picture/pdf of the instructions? I'm considering pulling the trigger on this for my Seiran Blue, but I don't want to have to notch or clearance anything.

What did you mean by the brackets bent? The ones on the car or the ones that came with the hood struts?
