This was posted on FB credited to a Matt McCulloh, hope it's closer to solid info. I assume US dealers but can be international also.

Wow this reads the complete opposite of the recent Australian bulletin. Dealers here will receive no allocations other than a demonstration vehicle, they must be kept for 9 months. All customers are being contacted directly in order of reservations placed. I wonder why Nissan treats our markets so differently?

hoping this is a little easier for folks to read:

Protos only
Unfortunately (unless you’re angling to get one), yep this is how it reads to me too. Protos in August, Sport/Perf within 90 days of Proto release.

Let’s see how this all shakes out in the meantime, though.

Hopefully custom orders will be allowed within those 90 days when regular Sport/Perf allocations start showing up.

Yes finally some news of actual releases! I have been calling the dealership periodically to check in and sadly this whole time it sounded like I knew more than they did just from browsing the internet.

I am not thrilled with the idea of paying extra for limited edition seats but its a manual with limited slip so maybe I can get my hands on one.

I had just reached out to my dealership again over the weekend and they suspected a Fall release. They reiterated that the Ariya would be at dealers first.

So it takes Nissan (North America) a full 3 mos for all trim levels to be avail to be released to dealers for sale. Not specified when online ordering will be available, assume after that.

What does "Wholesale release.....scheduled for August 2022" really mean?
