Does anybody know how to disconnect the subwoofer? This connector is difficult to detach...

Push down on the tab (sometimes a small flathead screwdriver helps) and then pull back on the connector whilst keeping the tab pushed in....

Ok, got it (can't just get it with a key lol, unless you have strong fingers). Assessing how to add a different sub setup in here. At least they didn't use a proprietary wiring to connect this.

The speakers can in fact play with full sound without the sub connected, unlike Chrysler UConnect.

I'll have to figure out what spare to fit in this bay. Once I figure out how I want to custom make my subwoofer box, I can have BASS and a spare, maybe even a fullsize spare. I hate fix-a-flat.

Thanks for the info - Ya, have had Potenzas and agree they are loud and thy get louder as tread runs down! At half tread life I got rid of them and went back to Pirelli - world of difference. It does sound like Nissan worked their magic on the suspension which is good (for me). I was going for a 2020 370Z until I test drove one - bone jarring experience. I have read a lot of articles/video reviews and there are a lot of positive things I like about the new Z (the tires have come up several tines). Unless something major comes up, I will probably wind up with a new Z - hopefully sooner rather than later - that will bring me full circle / purchased a new 280Z back in the day - loved that car. Thanks again.
I was looking at the factory recommended tire inflation tag in the door label, and thought "hmm, my tires are aired up a little high". The dealership had brought the tires to around 44PSI front and 37PSI rear. Recommended is 32PSI front and 29PSI rear, and heating up the tires made them even stiffer. After letting the air out to recommended, they are WAY QUIETER! Same grip (I think) but more compliant.

If you want quieter tires and want to change them out only after the tread is gone, that's one way to live with them. But it does soften the ride a bit more than people seem to want.

By the way, I'm new to sports cars. I didn't know that the numbers in the center of the tire gauge screen were the recommended PSI's for the tires by axle. The More You Know 🌟

Had my dealer's Service Department disable the fake engine sound, at least I believe that's what it did lol. It's ASC in their system. Basically, if you don't mind the engine sound piped in, don't worry about. It sounds good to me. Disabling for me it sounds mostly the same. The mid-range is a little more audible, but it's not like night and day. It's not as smooth (which is a good thing). I can hear each cycle like an engine (hard to explain lol)

The sound engineers did a good job tuning the speaker system. I was thinking that disabling this feature would change the sound signature of the speakers. It added a little more bass, but like a little bit. I think that maybe the speakers just broke in more.

I disabled the engine sound so that I could change the subwoofer and not have the sound amplified. Hopefully this does the trick. I'm still testing it, but I think I like it this way. I might think about disabling the Active Noise Cancellation too.

Got my first 5,000 mile oil change. Yes, 5,000 miles in a month! This car is great so far. Now I can be less worried about manufacturing left-overs running around the engine.

Now, I just have to be worried about air filters (might make a post about that), carbon build-up on the Direct Injection system, and other fluid changes... Oh, and TIRES!

Finally took my first road trip in the Z4ME! I drove from Michigan to Ohio and back and got 31-32 MPG surprisingly. By my calculations (based on the manual saying that the tank is 16.4 gallons), that's 508-512 miles! Well maybe 450-475 miles if I want to make it to the gas station lol. Still, that's insane! I WANNA DO MORE! I can't wait to do another road trip, I love them.

Auto refuel?
Yeah. The instrument screen has a fuel average computer that resets every time the fuel tank is filled with any amount (in personal screen settings). Handy if you like to keep an eye on how many miles you put on a tank or see how hard or green you're driving per tank. I haven't found a use for the Average Speed though.

It's only available in the screens other than Sport. (along with changing the Parking Sensor alert distance. Someone in a YouTube video was complaining about it beeping too far away from a parking block)
