Update #2
It finally had a solid engine light. A P0306 code, indicating a Misfire on Cylinder 6.
I was honestly relieved when I saw it. I set up a dealer appointment immediately. It was 3 weeks out. Apparently, all of the loaners were taken and they were backed up with other repairs (is...
I think I will have the dealership look at it anyway. It's a little unnerving.
(That's a long story involving the price of insurance in Michigan and the state wanting me to pay 6-months up front lol)
No Check Engine light, no codes to show. Plus I'm only doing basic maintenance, nothing big. I don't touch the major stuff, till after the warranty is up.
Update:
I had the idea of cleaning my Throttle Bodies from doing the same thing in my previous 2016 Jeep Cherokee. Then, it ran a little smoother and took off & cruised easier. So, why not. It wasn't easy to do on the Z, but I struggled through.
I was rewarded with no trans shift issues...
Hey, long time no see.
I think my 2023 VR30 is having a weird issue.
41,000 miles
Several days ago, I was driving normal road speeds around town, driving for GrubHub. So like in-town 35 MPH. Something on the dash caught my eye. I looked down to see (I thought) the Check Engine light...
That's awesome! I kinda wish I had gotten a better color than black. Everybody else loves the "murdered" black look, but it can be boring. Don't get me wrong it's still pretty lol.
I did not PPF mine, but I wish I had gotten the factory front clear guard. They basically PPF just the first...
Are you talking about High Beams that move up and down? Or Automatic Leveling headlights? I don't think I've ever seen a car with a switch to adjust the height of the headlights.
Thanks to this thread, I was able to adjust my headlights higher. Mine were way too low and atrocious on dirt road areas and unlit residential streets. I suspect that either Japan doesn't require the headlights to be as high as America, or the factory has different standards and the dealership...
For a while, at around 28-30K miles, I had been getting the handbrake "BRAKE" light popping on whenever I accelerated from a stop, then go out.
And it got worse over time. At first, it came on every other time, then more often. Then it was every time. I figured "maybe this car has some...
I LOVE the non-spoiler look! I've been thinking about removing my spoiler. It just has a clean look that I can't get enough of. And I agree, those wheels are nice for the "low-cost" option. They fit really well.
There's a guy on YouTube from 2 years ago that installed the Z1 Motorsports Starvation Kit on his 370Z. I've been wondering if the results are worth the hassle. It doesn't seem to be too difficult to install. The price seems to fluctuate. I didn't know the Z had a double fuel tank.
It looks like Z1 Motorsports just happens to have a "Scratch and Dent" Blemished W Brace for sale right now. It's cheaper than buying it from Nissan, even at regular price...
Well it happened. I was driving on the freeway, when I saw this... thing sitting in the middle of the lane. it looked like a metallic square with a short rod sticking out of it, kinda like a joystick. At "freeway speeds" with cars around me, I wasn't really able to to move around the object...
If you are willing to not fill the tank up all the way, yes I make money. With a $40 fill-up per day, I get around 3/4 tank, which is 6-8 hrs of work. And this car is very consistent. A lot of it is low RPM, calm driving (for me at least lol). It just depends on if the DoorDash gods have...
I just created my Z Instagram, because every time I'm out and I hang with someone with a 350z or 370z, they ask if I have one. Let me know what I should share there, I'm kinda new to having something to social network about lol.
I'm on Instagram as @nssnz_2023...
Yep, 30,000 miles in a year lol.
It depends on what you got your Z for. I got mine knowing I was going to put a hell of a lot of miles on it. I LOVE DoorDashing, and I LOVE driving this car. I am also planning on driving it cross-country to Cali from Michigan.
@Thefunk you said you did...
