Apparently, if you don't pay for the Nissan services, the lights on the "SOS" button go off. And no, I haven't tried pressing it to see what happens. But if I have to press it (and hopefully I won't have to), hopefully it'll at least call 9-1-1.
Lol I know how you feel. Crappily that's how this has to go. My plans to move to California last year fell through and I was forced to stay in Michigan. I don't know if this is better or worse for some of you, but I do have a car wash subscription, so it stays kind of clean, unless it's too...
It only shows up in the "Normal" and "Enhanced" Meter Views (in the Menu button on the steering wheel). Once there, press the Menu button, go to "Personal Display" and select Fuel Economy or whichever you like. Then, on the Main Screen, scroll to the "Drive Computer" page and "Press OK to...
I F-ing LOVE THIS CAR! It just idle-torque pulled itself out of snow that was up to the illuminated sill plates (about 9ish inches)! And this car is the easiest car to clean snow off of I've ever had, it's so small. It's doing pretty good on the salted snow-covered roads, and better than I...
Changed the title from:
Jerky Acceleration Under Load!? 9-Speed AT Stock, 4 Months, 18,750 Miles
to:
Jerky Acceleration Under Load ?! 27,000 Miles?! Fuel Starvation?
Did this to get more eyes on this situation, see if anybody else has this issue and get their feedback!
Ok so, I think it might actually be fuel starvation.
Apparently there's a chance (maybe 1 out of 5 times) it will have the symptoms at just above half tank. I tried a few times after this picture (which I took directly after an "episode"), but it wouldn't do it. It also wouldn't do it around...
The S007's did better than I thought they would (based on track-focused reviews), but I've changed my tires because of the weather change (Michigan winter). I have Atlas "Ultra High Performance" All-Season tires lol. They work at least as good as the S007's.
However, this particular problem...
That's interesting. The first time it did this, I was coming out of a turn. Maybe that is the problem. Is there a fix to this? Maybe the upgraded high-pressure fuel pump? I'll have to do some testing at higher fuel levels.
I'd heard and thought that too, but it will do that at least at 1/2 tank (which is where I know I've seen it do it). I've even though it could be an exhaust header/manifold leak because sometimes I will smell exhaust after it does that. But I don't know if those problems could have symptoms...
A better video of what's happening with the Z. I don't know what's going on with it. And the dealership is too much of a baby to drive it like a sports car and replicate the problem. Even after I said they could go hard on it. SMH.
I think I might go with Nissan Z-400 or Z 400 HP. If I were to put a badge on the car, it would probably say Z with a small 400 next to it.
Thoughts? 🤔
Well, I'm not really sure. Mostly I was just trying to see others opinions on what the market was like. I owe $55,500 on it (I know). I absolutely LOVE this car! It's my absolute favorite! But the $1,143 payments are a bit much (again, I know). I made up my mind before I got it that no...
Thank you.
That makes sense. It's hard to pinpoint the prices. My grandmother (who doesn't know how to price things lol) thinks I could get like $30,000 over what I paid for it. HA. Maybe if this was 2019 or 2021 lol.
I'm curious. Kelley Blue Book (KBB) doesn't have any values for these cars. If I wanted to sell my Z Performance A/T with 25,000 - 30,000 miles, what would you guys pay?
So, I still have this issue even after changing the air filters. It seems to do it less but it's still present. I was going to clean the Mass Air Flow Sensors to see if that would make a difference. I just have to find the alcohol spray bottles. If I take it to the dealership, they're not...
Actually I had been driving it all day up to that point. I was DoorDashing and driving kind of rapidly (as usual). Only when I did a full throttle acceleration that it did this behavior.
I have noticed that it does this at or just before an upshift... I'll have to pay closer attention.
